Venice Music is a distribution platform hoping to simplify music release workflow. Distribution platforms differ from labels in that the platform doesn’t have to “like” an artist's music but rather support artists in their goal to spread and share their work.
The company’s “start independent, stay independent” slogan is telling of how much autonomy Venice Music wants to give its artists, managers and labels. Not acting as a dictator but a community and support system. The platform provides a simple subscription service for artists to join on different membership levels offering a variety of services like playlisting, strategic, creative marketing, and artist development. Labels can also manage artist rosters, track splits & payments on the platform's interface.
Venice Music sits under Q&A Media - a remote-first, global company with teammates across the U.S. and in the U.K. The founders brought their experience working at Atom Factory, an artist management company behind artists like Lady Gaga and John Legend to fuel Venice Music’s mission. Since founding in 2021 the company has shifted into Web3 and launched its own NFT-gated private members’ club earlier this year called the Venice Music Collective. It has also worked hard to create a tiered subscription service to support artists of all levels. With a plethora of knowledge behind it we’re confident the company will be successful and it’ll be exciting to see how Venice Music scales in the future.
