My team is entirely international - everyone is from a different country. We also have different educational backgrounds: engineers, physicists and traders such as myself. This lends itself to a naturally diverse culture where new ideas are always welcome and every individual has their own unique approach to problems.

At Arenko an open structure exists where we are all working in the same direction, so if my opinion can help the CEO or Commercial team, it is always welcome. Equally within my own projects, my opinion is trusted to shape the project in my own way with a good degree of autonomy.

Perhaps more relevant to the Data Science team, where there is always more to learn: a heavy focus on individual goals, upgrading skills and encouraging research & development are essential ingredients to continually learning and growth.

Arenko used to be a small company. At the moment, it is experimenting a massive growth, which means that new roles are created very frequently to fulfil the company's needs. This offers such a good opportunity for existing employees to quickly scale up in their careers or even change departments if desired.

There is such a wide range of nationalities, ages and interests. Everyone at Arenko is very warm. All new employees are welcome and respected.

Arenko is a very technological and modern company, so flexibility is at its core. I come from a different country and my managers always offer me the possibility of working from home so that I can spend more time with my family.

Part of my role is to help ensure that Arenko stays ahead of the curve in the markets we participate in. Since the dynamics of energy markets are rapidly changing, I'm constantly learning new things on the job. There's also a culture of sharing interesting findings and results from our work. We also have allocated R&D time, budget for training courses, and occasional company-wide "Lunch and Learn" presentations.

The team's energy is demonstrated by its collaborative spirit, high morale, and strong motivation to have a positive impact on the electricity system. Team members are invested and care about doing high quality work. It's great to work with such intelligent and driven people who support each other both personally and professionally.

Through optimising clean technologies like energy storage and renewables, our work involves exploring and implementing innovative ways energy storage can help achieve a clean energy system. It's meaningful to me that our work directly contributes to building an energy system that is zero-carbon and more efficient, and thus cheaper for end-consumers.

Every time I want to learn something, I have the support I need to seek my options and choose the best of it. My line manager is very supportive to my self development.

It's great to know that through my work I help the environment.

Everyone can ask questions, as we say there are no stupid questions and everyone's opinions are valued. We are open to different opinions and looking to achieve best results.

To quote the website, the company's vision is a zero carbon grid worldwide. Hopefully I don't need to convince you that there aren't that many more meaningful things which you could be working towards right now.

It's a pleasure to work with a lean team of bright, focused, motivated people. Team members have an impressive amount of expert knowledge (tech and energy industry) and are very engaged and invested in their work. The company's mission makes it easy to care.

Constant learning / becoming a jack of all trades to some extent is required due to tooling and design patterns still being in a state of evolution. For someone who left a larger company with more process and mature in-house tooling to gain awareness of a wider range of areas, this is perfect.

Arenko provides a challenging and fast pace work environment. At the same time everyone has a healthy work like boundary. The team's energy and drive motivates us to do better. People are open and honest. We are given responsibility very early on. Managers tend to support and motivate initiative. Everyone's ideas and comments are welcome and appreciated - 'No question is a stupid question'.

Everyone is passionate about the Energy industry. We all aim to contribute to a cleaner and better world. The end goal is very clear and present within everyone in the company. Arenko aims to achieve this goal whilst delivering excellency. To achieve all of that our team needs to be at the forefront of the energy industry and tech environment.

Arenko managed to combined various different people with different cultures and backgrounds. I believe we all complement each other. Everyone is always aiming to do better and help each other succeed.

The company greatly values physical and mental wellbeing. Weekly yoga and meditation sessions provide a great opportunity to re-charge. In addition, there are fantastic weekly updates that address specific topics ensuring we take care of all aspects of our wellbeing.

Tackling climate change is one of the most important challenges of our generation. Working at Arenko Group has allowed me to actively address this challenge by optimising the operation of battery energy storage assets.

When I joined Arenko Group, it was clear that the company is growing rapidly as the need for us to optimise battery energy storage assets is increasing. This has provided a steep but enjoyable learning curve as the support from management has ensured I am able to learn new skills and maximise my contribution.
