Our take

After receiving frustratingly poor communication during a health scare, Artera (formerly known as WELL Health) founder Guillaume de Zwirek decided to change things. The company was born aiming to provide efficient, simple and helpful communication for patients.

Its biggest selling point is its AI chatbot, designed to remove a huge portion of administrative tasks from the hands of medical staff, which allows them to work more productively. It claims it can automate up to 90 hours of work, and boasts integrations with 15 major pre-existing healthcare data systems, meaning a straightforward set-up process for companies.

Its success has been recognised, with KLAS calling it the #1 firm in patient outreach two years in a row, as well as partnerships with over 400 hospitals across the US. Funding is being focused on expanding its patient communication and leadership teams and on R&D for new communication solutions.
