To provide customers from agribusinesses to the government real-time thermal infrared data, which can be used for solutions from drought prediction to ecosystem monitoring to disease vector mapping.
Hydrosat provides daily, high-resolution thermal and multispectral infrared imagery of the Earth. The company is set to launch its first two infrared satellites into orbit, and the first-of-its-kind thermal visualisation capabilities will provide real-time thermal infrared data that will be used to provide analytics solutions to help solve a range of climate and agriculture issues.
Solutions include drought prediction, ecosystem monitoring, disease vector mapping, crop yield forecasts, and irrigation management. In a bid to fully move away from relying on open Earth observation datasets, Hydrosat is in the process of developing its 16-satellite constellation that will provide richer insights for its expanding client portfolio.
The company launched a prototype thermal infrared mission in January 2021 – with support from the U.S. Air Force Space Test Program – that truly paved the way for Hydrosat’s subsequent funding and development.
