Who you are
- If you're passionate about driving strategic impact and exploring the potential of new technologies, this is your chance to make a real difference
- 6+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer, partnering closely with Product and Design teams to develop intuitive, user-focused applications
- Proven track record in building MVPs, gathering user feedback, and iterating quickly to identify and achieve product-market fit
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Passion for the things you build and want to make a difference
- You have experience in React.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, next to that, you are passionate for Test Driven Development
- Preferably, you have worked in an agile environment before
- You value quality as well as clean code and learning new things
- Good English communication skills
- You are a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team

- Hey there! We're on the lookout for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Staffbase team and help us build an awesome internal communications platform. We are looking for empathetic and motivated team players who are motivated by growth and ownership. Let’s talk!
- Join our dynamic and agile cross-functional team at the forefront of Strategic Communication. Here, you won't just be leading Staffbase radio and Communication Radar – you'll be empowering communicators with the tools they need to plan impactful communication strategically
- What sets us apart? We're not just maintaining the status quo. As part of a dedicated experimentation and innovation unit, you'll have the exciting opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technologies like AI and LLM's to develop groundbreaking solutions that truly support our customers
- Leading development of new products for strategical communication e.g. Staffbase Radio and Communication Radar
- Work in a cross-functional scrum team and produce high-quality and tested code
- Give and receive valuable feedback in our code review process and continuously learn and share knowledge with your peers
- Being open to feedback and taking ownership of your work are essential
- Take ownership for the topics you care about, ranging from the features you produce over the quality of our work to the environment we work in
- You work iteratively, frequently pushing code, ensuring a good CI/CD pipeline, and automating where possible
- As part of our tech stack, we are using: React.js, Javascript, Typescript, Kotlin, Go, Java, MongoDB, Terraform, Docker and Playwright, to name a few
Our take
Since launching in 2014, Staffbase has grown into a major name in the internal communications niche. Its platform is used by the likes of Samsung, ALDI, DHL, and Domino’s to create branded, mobile-first communication and information sharing tools which can access a company’s intranet from anywhere.
Staffbase has managed to set itself apart to some extent from the range of other internal communication apps like Slack and Teams by focusing on building a product tailored towards dedicated internal communication teams, rather than taking a more general approach.
This is proving to be a good decision as, with the shift to remote and hybrid working, the last few years have seen Staffbase gather serious momentum. A 2021 merger with Canadian competitor Banantang has been followed up by a series of major funding rounds and a rise to unicorn status. As well as this, it’s been expanding its own product portfolio through a number of strategic acquisitions as it looks to stay ahead of the competition.
