- You have experience and interest in Commercial, Product and Marketing

- It's not about having previous product marketing experience; it's about being able to explain things in a way which gets people nodding
- Businesses Impact: you grasp business problems quickly, and can articulate them well to different audiences
- Product: you’re technically intuitive and can quickly get to grips with how software solves problems
- Marketing: you’re pithy
- You may have some product management experience, or even development experience, and you’re not afraid to play around with configurations, speak to developers or interrogate Product Managers on whether they’ve really understood a problem
- Your writing is engaging and you seek the simplest way to explain things, so that people always leave a room knowing the essence of what was said - even if it was a 2h talk
What the job involves
- As our first Product Marketing specialist; first you’ll get to grips with our current product (Scheduling, HR, Payroll, Comms), customer base (Social Care and Hospitality) and marketing activities (sales decks, events, content, webinars)
- You’ll need to think about how we brand an ever-growing product in ways that make sense now and for the future, and you’ll need to build a narrative that clearly articulates the way that these features help front-line businesses to succeed
- We’ll look to you to make Sona Summits (our equivalent of Apple’s launch events) the must-attend industry event
- We’ll also look to you as the voice of the customer, repeatedly banging the drum of what it is we should build so that we can articulate that to a customer
- You’ll input into sales, product, customer success
- And you’ll take what you see there and bucket it up into things worth shouting about

Sona is a workforce technology startup setting out to help solve this issue, building an all-in-one platform specially designed to empower frontline workers and help their employers retain staff and operate more efficiently.
By using its app, users can view and claim shifts, communicate with their colleagues, and book holidays. Moreover, Sona has additional modules for HR, Payroll, and Engagement, so customers can manage all of their people operations in one place, or integrate with their existing tools.
Sona is an early-stage startup, yet already counts big names across Social Care, Hospitality, and the Charities sector who have combined to book millions of shifts on the Sona platform.
