Who you are
- We are looking for a strategic finance professional who is passionate about making an impact at a fast-growing company

- 4+ years of finance or related experience in a highly analytical and operational role
- Ability to eloquently distill and communicate financial data and complex topics to non-finance stakeholders
- Can context switch and dynamically prioritize a portfolio of work
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel and understanding of business metrics. Familiarity with comprehensive 3-statement models; ability to conceptualize and implement new models to support strategic decision making
- Experience and comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment; bonus points for experience with SaaS business models and unit economics
Desirable
- Experience or interest in Technology or Software / SaaS industry
- Strong financial acumen (e.g., a good understanding of financial statements, accounting, FP&A processes, etc.)
- Experience with FP&A planning processes, operating expense forecasting, and P&L management
- Exposure to working with finance and GTM systems (e.g., Pigment / Anaplan, Netsuite, Salesforce, CaptivateIQ) and other BI tools( Omni, Mode)
- SQL skills and understanding of database / data warehousing concepts (though we always have internal resources to assist)
What the job involves
- You will support pivotal investment decisions in sales, marketing, and commercial operations to optimize customer acquisition costs and lifetime value
- You will use your business insight, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to deliver insights and actionable recommendations to improve decision-making across the organization
- You will be a key contributor to a critical component of our strategy – a strategic partner to support our revenue organization as we develop a world class platform at scale
- This is a highly visible role in the organization and reports into the strategic finance lead and partners closely with the CFO
- Own key revenue and product models, driving regular forecast updates, and produce weekly/monthly reporting packages
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and insightful financial analyses and forecasts, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities relating to our go-to-market strategy to business leaders and executives
- Lead the creation of effective dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards to track our operational and financial metrics relating to our go-to-market activities
- Develop a strong understanding of Front's business model and translate the impact of business decisions on company performance
- Execute competitive benchmarking to maintain a comprehensive understanding of our position in the market landscape
- Drive ongoing improvement in finance and operational workflows, increase efficiency through automation & process excellence, and proactively understand risks and opportunities to provide predictability to future performance
Our take
When a business receives an email from a customer it can set off a chain of forwarded emails across the company, an inefficient process where information (and sales!) can easily get lost. Front exists to change this, consolidating all customer communications into a single shared inbox which can be accessed by teams of any size and completely eliminates the need for internal emails.
With more companies moving to remote working and eCommerce becoming the predominant form of conducting business, Front's product has been enthusiastically received by over 8,000 companies, including Mailchimp, Shopitfy and Convoy. However it is by no means alone in this space, with huge competitors such as Google and Microsoft providing communications solutions and other internal communications tools such as Slack gaining traction. Front may have an edge here though: its unified solution also provides automated workflows, ticketing and analytical tools that are either absent or less well integrated in competing offerings.
In 2022, Front raised investments in a Series D round and achieved unicorn status with a valuation of over $1 billion. It is moving to futher develop its product and increase its market share, hiring on new talent ahead of a possible IPO in the near future. Definitely watch this space!
