Role
Who you are
- We’re looking for someone with proven experience in both technical and client-facing environments who can dive into code, own integrations end-to-end, and confidently represent Button externally
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Golang, Python)
- Strong understanding of modern programming paradigms and API integrations
- Ability to analyze, debug, and optimize code in partner-facing contexts
- Experience with integration design, technical documentation, and workflow automation
- Familiarity with process automation and technical runbook creation
- Strong project management and prioritization abilities
- Experience managing client expectations with empathy and clarity
- Excellent communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
- Pragmatism, thinkers who views product decisions through a business lens
- Comfortability presenting Button’s technology and approach in customer-facing settings
- 3+ years in Solutions Engineering, Support Engineering, QA, or Software Engineering
- 2+ years in a client-facing capacity (SaaS, consulting, or technical services)
- Proven track record managing integrations end-to-end, from design to launch
- Solutions Engineering or Technical Project Management experience strongly preferred
What the job involves
- As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between our partners, product, and engineering. You’ll combine deep technical skill with business aptitude and judgment—designing, implementing, and troubleshooting integrations while serving as a trusted technical advisor
- Design, implement, and support partner integrations across Button’s product suite
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor in both presales and post-sales conversations
- Troubleshoot integration challenges and provide clear, pragmatic solutions
- Build and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and tooling for scale
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Partnerships to deliver value to partners
- Represent Button with empathy and technical credibility in partner-facing discussions
Our take
Shopping habits are increasingly moving towards mobile. However, the process of buying on mobile remains riddled with problems and poor user interfaces that slow down purchase time and therefore reduce revenue for companies that rely on these channels.
Button is trying to make mobile eCommerce easier for customers and businesses. They provide seamless integrations of links or "buttons" within other third party partner's apps, allowing mobile customers to buy when their interest is highest. This provides brands with an alternative to pushing users to their eCommerce websites through channels such as Facebook or Google (as customers can make purchases directly in other apps).
The company has now driven $6 billion in eCommerce, delivering an average 3x revenue increase in app journeys vs mobile web - both of which showcase the impact it has made in the market. Button continues to expand its network and enhance the platform towards making mobile eCommerce work better for brands.
