Who you are
- We are looking for roughly a 50% fit with for what we ask. The other 50% is a surprise to us, it is the magic you bring to the table and the diversity in which you make us grow
- You have minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, system administration, or related fields
- You have strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
- You have extensive knowledge of cloud computing with Azure and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/Terragrunt
- You are familiar with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- You have experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools
- You have experience with monitoring and logging tools
- You have strong understanding of software reliability engineering principles and practices
- You have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- You have strong communication and collaboration skills
- You have knowledge of security best practices and compliance regulations
- You have experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Certification in a relevant technology or framework is a plus
What the job involves
- We're looking for a talented Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team and help us maintain the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems
- As Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the reliability and availability of our production environments
- You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensure smooth operations, and improve overall system health
- Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our systems are reliable, scalable, and performant, while also collaborating with development teams to implement new features and technologies
- Design, implement, and maintain the reliability and availability of production environments
- Develop and implement monitoring and logging tools to ensure system health and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., development, platform, security) to identify and mitigate risks
- Ensure that systems are designed for scalability, redundancy, and fault tolerance
- Implement automation and scripting tools to simplify system administration tasks
- Develop and maintain knowledge of industry-standard technologies and tools
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with teams to implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Set up and participate in on-call rotation for production systems
- Create and maintain technical documentation for new systems and configurations

The company rents out solar power systems, saving customers from paying high acquisition costs and instead paying a flat monthly rental fee for their customised solar solution that covers all costs (including planning, installation, maintenance, and more), and includes a green electricity tariff.
