- 5+ years of experience in product management
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven track record of building and launching products from 0 to 1, driving them from ideation to delivery
- Experience with ‘growth stack’ tools (i.e., Amplitude, Segment, Braze, LaunchDarkly)
- Expertise in agile development, product strategy, product lifecycle management, and UX best practices
- Demonstrated ability to align teams around a strategic vision and execute effectively
- History of mentoring junior product managers or cross-functional teammates, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Familiarity with tax compliance, tax filing software, or financial technology is a plus but not required

What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager I focused on our tax filing and advisory products, you are responsible for driving continued expansion, and implementing requirements to drive stratospheric growth of Housecall Pro Products
- You work daily with our engineering and design teams, and other stakeholders to define the right backlog, structures, and frameworks to move us rapidly forward
- Our agile product team is a tight-knit group of inspiring individuals that deliver excellently crafted software experiences and rapidly ship new products
- You will help guide us along the right path, balancing business and customer toward world-class results
- Think. Define tax product vision and strategy, identifying opportunities that align with company objectives and customer needs
- Conduct market research, analyze competitive trends, and gather customer feedback to inform product direction
- Prioritize product features and initiatives based on impact and feasibility
- Develop and present product requirements and specifications to stakeholders
- Explore. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Strategy, and Operations) to develop and validate impactful solutions
- Guide and mentor Product Designers to ensure strong design execution and customer experience
- Develop user flows, wireframes, and product specifications that drive usability and engagement
- Partner with go-to-market teams to refine product positioning, pricing, and risk management strategies
- Conduct user testing to validate solutions and iterate based on feedback
- Plan. Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and product roadmap development
- Define success metrics and ensure alignment with key stakeholders
- Communicate product updates and progress to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Build. Drive the execution of product development, working closely with Engineering to deliver high-quality features
- Ensure quality standards are met through product testing and validation
- Remove roadblocks and foster collaboration among teams to maintain development momentum
- Launch & Learn. Oversee product launches and coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support for seamless execution
- Monitor product performance, adoption, and customer feedback post-launch
- Implement improvements and iterate quickly based on data-driven insights
- Mentor and support developing product team members as they grow in their roles, contributing to the growth of the product management team

Housecall Pro offers an all-in-one business management app for home-services professionals operating HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and landscaping businesses.
The resurgent home services market is expected to be worth well over $1 trillion by 2030. With the vast majority of businesses in the space either small or medium sized, there’s obvious value in backend software to take care of laborious but necessary admin in one place.
After five years as a Board Member, Michael Beaudoin became CEO in 2020 to help lead the company’s expansion. Considering that Beaudoin previously spent 13 years at the helm of highly successful home contractor marketplace HomeAdvisor, this seemed to be a shrewd move.
Indeed, the decision has been validated by the company’s 50% year over year growth since then, coupled with its major fundraising efforts and continued expansion within the US and Canada.
