Who you are
- 5+ years full-time software engineering experience
- 3+ years professional engineering management experience
- 1+ years full-time experience in a blockchain based project
- Demonstrated interest in open and community-driven platforms
What the job involves
- As the engineering leader under our Platform team at Phantom you’ll be enabling Phantom engineering to quickly deliver innovative and reliable new products by building developer infrastructure and optimizing the developer experience
- The platform team will be doing everything from managing our infrastructure (AWS, Terraform), maintaining cross-platform client tooling (React, React Native), and crafting multi-chain SDKs (Typescript). Join us on our mission to make the digital economy safe and easy to use for everyone
- Managing and coaching: You will be managing and coaching a full-stack engineering team and guide the development of infrastructure across web, mobile, backend and data engineering
- Technical leadership: You will be a thoughtful technical voice and support your team and the broader engineering organization in making diligent architectural decisions
- Setting direction: You will be collaborating with engineers and the founders to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap
- Team building: You will be working with the team to create and foster a culture of raising the bar with each new hire

Phantom is a cryptocurrency wallet that creates a space for users to buy, send, receive, swap tokens and collect NFTs.
Phantom hosts the Solana blockchain, though Ethereum is generally more popular within the crypto world, Solana is said to have faster speeds and lower transaction costs. Offering the same wallet features as its competitors, the company are setting itself apart with newer features like the “Burn NFTs” feature allowing users to remove spam NFTs sent by attackers and support them in dodging NFT theft prevalent in the sector. The company prides itself on extremely high-security factors.
Founded in 2021 the company already has an impressive firm valuation of $1.2 billion. It might not be in the top-rated crypto wallets out there yet but the young company will likely join this list if it continues on this upward trajectory and continues to diversify itself by adding special features and product offerings.
