Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in global early careers, internships, or graduate recruitment with a focus on technical roles
- Expertise in international university partnership development and global campus recruitment for STEM fields
- Demonstrated experience building inclusive and equitable Intern programs with excellent project management skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Commitment to talent development and exceptional, inclusive early-career experiences
- Proven ability to track and analyse program metrics data
- Innovative approach to developing learning objectives and project frameworks
- Strong collaborative skills with excellent communication abilities

What the job involves
- Cohere is in a unique and exciting position to grow our go-to-market teams globally! We are expanding our Talent Team and are looking for a dedicated Early Careers & Interns Specialist to help us build a world-class pipeline of future AI talent
- In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive early careers programs that attract, develop, and retain top student and recent graduate talent, positioning Cohere as the premier destination for ambitious early-career professionals in AI
- Design and implement strategic early talent programs with clear goals for intern and graduate pipelines
- Align with early careers frameworks with Cohere's global growth plans and talent needs
- Story tell the comprehensive learning objectives and core projects for each intern cohort
- Build and maintain partnerships with top universities and colleges to source high-potential candidates
- Develop targeted employer branding strategies specifically for student markets
- Represent Cohere at career fairs and host on-campus recruitment events
- Partner with the People team to execute seamless Intern onboarding and orientation experience
- Establish and manage mentor/buddy pairing systems for new starters
- In partnership with the People team, conduct regular progress check-ins, assess overall engagement and oversee performance reviews for interns
- Consider the full life cycle of the intern experience, from onboarding through to internship completion/long term retention
- Track key program metrics including conversion rates, retention, and ROI
- Gather and analyze feedback from managers and interns to continuously improve program effectiveness
- Manage budgets, logistics, and scheduling for all early careers initiatives
- Consider the evolution of an intern program, such as ours, as we scale. What works well today versus what will break and need iteration as we double in size?

Many businesses are now faced with the challenge of adopting advanced AI safely and securely. While AI tools like ChatGPT are making headlines, companies (especially those in regulated industries such as banking, telecoms, or government services) worry about privacy, compliance, and control over their sensitive data. Cohere addresses these concerns by offering AI solutions that can be trained on a company's internal data and, importantly, run on their own infrastructure rather than relying on external cloud providers. And in a world where data breaches and regulatory scrutiny are constant threats, this focus on trust and security is key.
In a competitive landscape dominated by giants like OpenAI, Google, and Elon Musk's xAI, Cohere is setting itself apart by targeting businesses exclusively. Its approach has earned it contracts with some big names, like Royal Bank of Canada, Fujitsu, LG, Oracle, and Dell. By focusing on reliability and enterprise adoption rather than viral consumer appeal, Cohere has carved out a strong niche for itself.
This isn't going unnoticed either, as the company recently raised $500M, boosting its valuation to $6.8B, and brought on board top talent from Meta and Uber to strengthen its leadership team. Alongside this, it's doubled its annual recurring revenue to $100M in 2025 and is aiming to hit $200M by year-end. With its North platform for AI agents and a lean cost structure compared with larger rivals, Cohere is very much ready for more growth.
