- 6+ years of relevant experience with a CPA/CA designation (required)

- Creating complex financial models is second nature to you
- You can turn raw data into a clear, actionable story with minimal guidance
- Deep experience in FP&A, including sophisticated business cases and monthly statement analysis
- You thrive in fast-paced environments, can "run" with a concept quickly, and possess the advanced Excel and tech-savviness (Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite) to automate the mundane
- Advanced excel skills required
- You are a self-starter who manages multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously, maintaining total discretion with sensitive information

What the job involves
- As Senior Manager, Finance, reporting directly to a CFO with a track record of building successful tech finance teams, you will be the bridge between raw data and our company’s DNA
- We need a strategist who can dig into the business - someone who can translate financial data and turn a spreadsheet into a compelling narrative of success
- As a cornerstone of support, you will own the intersection of strategy and execution
- From building financial models, to autonomously navigating year-end audits and investor reporting, you will be the backbone of our financial success
- Uncover Hidden Truths:
- Dig in and explore identifying key metrics, processes and truths that we haven't even thought to look at yet, which will become cornerstones of our financial success
- Drive Revenue Accountability:
- Build sophisticated financial models and KPIs that help the leadership team hold the business leaders accountable to revenue targets through KPIs (sales funnels, financial forecasts etc.)
- Architect Efficiency & Cash Flow:
- Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, manage expenses and cash flow
- Communicate results and respectfully challenge business leaders to find operational efficiencies
- Owning the financial tech stack that allows us to scale, identifying and implementing new tools as necessary - including AI efficiencies across the org
- Master Month-End:
- Oversee the financial results produced by our external bookkeepers, comparing them against forecasts and delivering high-impact month-end packages to the leadership team
- Own the Audit & Compliance:
- Autonomously manage the year-end audit process from start to finish, including the drafting of key technical accounting papers
- Complete Quarterly Reporting:
- Contribute to drafting the financial narrative for investors and the Board of Directors, creating comprehensive quarterly reporting packages that drive strategic discussion
Our take
ODAIA have been growing fast in recent years. The company began in the University of Toronto with an intensive period of R&D in AI, journey mapping, and process mining. From there, the ODAIA commercial insights platform for the pharmaceuticals industry was born. Their MAPTUAL solution uses AI and predictive analytics on a vast spread of data to segment and target physicians, thereby driving up customer engagement.
Their rapid growth can be put down, in part, to a widespread shift in the way healthcare providers (HCPs) interact with Pharma, precipitated by the Covid pandemic. With on-site visits restricted, pharma reps needed to seek out different ways of forging meaningful client connections. What we’re seeing now is pharma messaging developing into more detailed, tailored forms of HCP support. As we’ve seen with marketing more generally, big data analytics is a phenomenally powerful tool for maintaining this competitive, tailored edge and funding awarded at the beginning of 2023 proves that ODAIA's AI is being tipped as a solution for the "bottleneck" in pharma delivery and testing.
This means that ODAIA are blazing what is likely to prove an impressive trail in the new model of Pharma/HCP relations. Offering a more streamlined, modern method of targeting and value production, ODAIA is likely to prove an increasingly crucial player going forward in a highly lucrative market.
