15+ years of progressive HRBP experience in global, matrixed organizations - supporting executive leaders within the business or corporate functions
Success as a trusted advisor and thought partner to C-suite leaders, with the gravitas and influence to drive impact at the highest levels
Expertise in organizational strategy and change
Strategic, data-driven growth mindset able to turn insights into action
Outstanding interpersonal skills and a natural relationship-builder to leaders and employees alike
Innate ability to sort through the noise and deliver what drives the greatest impact
A sense of humor coupled with the ability to get the job done
Ability to travel internationally 4-5 times per year with business leaders as required (primarily London & Tokyo) with potential for additional domestic trips

What the job involves

We seek a strategic Director, HR Business Partner to join our global People team and make a lasting impact by supporting executives who lead customer-facing and corporate functions within our business
Reporting to the Senior Director, HRBP for Sales, Marketing and Corporate Functions, you will act as a strategic thought partner and advisor to senior executives, developing a people strategy that delivers on business demands
You will support leaders navigating the complexity of change as the organization continues to grow and evolve
This role offers the opportunity to work globally, influencing leaders as we build the future of SIE
You will drive the talent strategy and play a pivotal role in enabling team innovation and success
You will advocate for ongoing learning, innovation and collaboration within teams
As the HRBP, you lead the development and execution of a Human Capital Plan (HCP) that enables transformation and improves team effectiveness
You will collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Talent Enablement and People Analytics to develop and deploy evidence-based, proactive solutions for your business

Our take

Since the release of the PS1 in 1994, PlayStation has been a consistent leader in the video gaming market. Its consoles are iconic in the gaming community - PlayStation has produced both the top-selling and fastest-selling console of all time - and the company is still pushing boundaries. Its current flagship - the PS5 - promises to revolutionise gaming, featuring new technology that will create improvements across the board.

As well as its consoles, PlayStation has also developed online services, connecting its users and giving them access to diversified media. A PlayStation can be used for a huge range of activities - from Netflix to guided workouts - which has led to the expansion of the company's audience over time and across generations.

PlayStation faces competition in its field from the likes of Microsoft, with its Xbox range, and PC gaming, which has been becoming more popular in recent years. Regardless, PlayStation shows no signs of slowing down. The upcoming implementation of in-game ads in free games looks to significantly increase revenue, and the wider PlayStation gaming experience also appears to be evolving from plans to launch live service games in upcoming years.
