Who you are
- You have 5+ years of mixed-methods research experience across two or more commercial environments, ideally in a fast-paced technology or internet company with a global footprint
- You bring 3+ years of experience leading (international) research for an entire product area and partnering directly with product leadership
- You apply a broad qualitative and quantitative toolkit to answer strategic, business-critical questions
- You demonstrate strong commercial acumen—connecting user insights to business outcomes and influencing teams that operate with clear business metrics
- You’re skilled at distilling complexity into practical assets for Product and Design, such as frameworks, use cases, design principles, scenarios, and personas
- You communicate clearly and confidently in English (verbal and written), adapt your style to varied audiences, and build strong relationships with peers and decision-makers

What the job involves
- UX Researchers at Bolt deliver critical user insights to unlock business outcomes. You’ll investigate problems that require a deep understanding of the business and a holistic research approach, blending user insights with competitor, market and industry insights
- The scope of research requires rigorous mixed-methods user research, including remote interviews, field research, surveys and competitor benchmarks
- Establish and lead the UX Research function for Bolt’s Driver domain; partner closely with Product and Design leadership to shape strategy and alignment
- Identify and prioritise research needs based on ROI, business impact, and roadmap fit
- Design and execute high-quality qualitative, quantitative, and field research
- Translate user insights into actionable, measurable business and product opportunities
- Communicate insights to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, driving follow-through
- Enable PMs and designers to run their own user research
Our take
Across Europe, more and more people are choosing flexible, on-demand transport instead of owning a car. And ride-hailing, shared vehicles and new technology like autonomous driving are all part of this shift. So, cities are pushing for safer and more efficient transport, which is encouraging mobility companies to invest in electric vehicles and even driverless solutions which could eventually reshape urban travel.
Bolt has positioned themselves right in the center of this change, with is leading mobility platform that offers ride-hailing services across more than 50 countries. Through its app, Bolt connects users with transport options designed to be affordable and simple.
Recently, the company partnered with Stellantis to explore Level 4 autonomous, driverless vehicles, showing just how far ahead Bolt is looking for its next phase of mobility.
That said, Bolt operates in a very crowded market and urban mobility is highly competitive, with many local and international players all trying to come out on top. Even so, demand for shared and on-demand transport is at an all time high and only growing. Bolt's broad geographic reach, focus on scale and willingness to invest in future technologies puts it in the perfect position to keep growing.
