Who you are
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field, plus 5 years of experience in a Strategy Finance/FP&A role
- 3 years of experience utilizing Excel/Gsheet and SQL to build financial models and provide financial analyses, evaluate and test various scenarios
- 3 years of experience understanding and evaluating investment opportunities (return on investment analyses) to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
- 3 years of experience preparing accurate and insightful financial reports for stakeholders; and
- 3 years of experience creating and managing budgets, as well as developing accurate and dynamic financial forecasts leveraging Excel/gsheet and data sources

What the job involves
- Analyze financial or operational performance of the company to identify or recommend remedies
- Define metrics and leading indicators of business performance
- Conduct financial analyses related to investments
- Create client presentations of plan details
- Develop and maintain client and cross functional relationships
- Employ financial models to develop solutions to financial problems or to assess the financial or capital impact of transactions
- Build and own models for in-depth analyses, as well as ensure their quality, timeliness, and accuracy
- Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions
- Act as a financial partner for analysis and evaluation of strategic projects and investments (e.g. foundational investments or business model shifts)
- Prepare plans of action for investment, using financial analyses
- Design and provide analytical rigor to measure efficiency and ROI of investments, and influence decision-making
- 40 hrs/week
Our take
Stripe, nowadays a FinTech giant, spent the first few years since its founding building up its payments business, which primarily consisted of providing an API to eCommerce businesses so that they could easily integrate a payment option in their apps or websites, where before there was none.
More recently, Stripe has started to accelerate its growth with a significantly larger range of financial services including cash advances and credit cards. They also plan to build incorporation services, fraud protection, and more, diversifying its revenue away from payments and differentiating itself from its competitors.
To further expand its position, the company is extending its services to countries with vast customer potential, including Brazil, Japan and India. It is also partnering with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT - a win-win collaboration that is monetising OpenAI’s flagship products and at the same time enhancing Stripe with GPT-4, as it moves forward with intentions to "build the payments foundation for tomorrow's AI economy."
