- Strong software development skills in either Java/Groovy technologies and our preferred frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript/React)

What the job involves
- As a Senior Software Engineer within the ScriptRunner team, you will contribute to apps that help 20 million people around the world who use the Atlassian tools, enabling them to get the most out of the products and enhancing their overall experience
- A key responsibility of the Senior Software Engineer role is to help define and champion the Engineering culture of the team alongside the Team Lead and Engineering Manager
- You will also work alongside a Product Manager and a team of engineers to shape the development of the ScriptRunner products
- Plus you will serve as a collaborator and mentor to a growing team of software engineers of all skill levels
- This role will involve managing the balance of your individual contributions and supporting your team in delivery
- As a senior engineer on the team, the role will be responsible for facilitating solution design, building on the knowledge and skills in the team as well as reaching out to other engineering teams for input
- Leading and mentoring: Guiding and developing a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
- Designing and building: Creating robust and scalable software solutions using Java/Groovy or JavaScript/TypeScript/React
- Problem-solving: Tackling complex challenges and finding creative solutions
- Quality assurance: Writing comprehensive tests and ensuring code quality
- Collaboration: Working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders

Reece joined TAG as an Associate Software Engineer in May 2019. Within 5 months, they advanced to Software Engineer, then to Senior in under two years, and by September 2024, became Staff Engineer.
Sarah joined TAG as a Project Manager in 2017 in the Toronto office. They found their true calling in Sales and made an internal move a couple of years later and have since advanced to become a Strategic Sales Executive.
Rodrigo initially worked with TAG as a Contractor before joining the UK team permanently as a Commercial Operations Analyst. Since then, they moved to the Madrid office as a Business Operations Manager.
