What the job involves
- As a Neurology Key Account Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in strategically and innovatively promoting and driving the adoption of our client's cutting-edge neurology product
- You'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the National Sales Manager and Marketing team, to craft and execute business plans aimed at maximising product differentiation and market penetration
- Product Promotion: Lead the promotion of our neurology product within your territory, engaging with secondary care healthcare professionals to deliver compelling product presentations and provide specialised medical education. Your goal will be to ensure that decision-makers are well-versed in the clinical benefits of our products to facilitate formulary access and funding
- KOL Development: Cultivate relationships with regional and national opinion leaders to enhance clinical experience with our neurology products and support medical education initiatives within your territory
- Customer Support: Employ a variety of communication channels to proactively engage customers, offering support and fostering engagement opportunities in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Meeting Management: Organise and execute medical educational events and support conference stands to enhance brand visibility and engagement
- Revenue and Budget Management: Monitor revenue performance against targets and ensure efficient allocation of area budgets for maximum impact
- Customer and Competitor Analysis: Develop territory account plans and KPIs, regularly analysing market dynamics to identify new opportunities and inform strategic planning
- Brand Building: Contribute to enhancing our client’s reputation as a trusted scientific partner in the neurology space
- Digital Channels: Leverage CRM tools and digital platforms to optimise engagement with customers and stakeholders

IQVIA is a world leader in analytics and clinical research in the life sciences sector. Formed from a merger between IMS Health and Quintiles, it has over 40 years of experience in the sector and has grown to become one of the world’s largest contract research organisations, with a network spanning more than 100 countries.
Since its founding, IQVIA has outperformed the market, with is main concerns being in the expansion of biosimilar firms such as Humira which are able to provide generic drugs from existing medications, without needing further data analysis. However IQVIA’s involvement in new areas of research are likely to more than offset this trend.
With global medicine spend on track to reach £1.3 trillion by 2025, IQVIA is focusing its efforts on oncology and immunology, the most profitable sectors in pharmaceutical development. It is also building out its technological infrastructure, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. While it is frank about the limitations of this technology within the sector, it is able to greatly augment the data-handling capabilities of health science teams. Development in this sector is key to IQVIA’s growth plans for 2025 and beyond, which is on track with 2023-24 seeing a massive increase in company share value.
