Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate blends business and financial acumen with a creative, flexible mindset: strong working knowledge of financial and strategic planning, accounting, and business development; outstanding quantitative skills; and the curiosity to engage on complex technical topics
- You're comfortable working across a matrixed, multi-level organization to gather and synthesize data, and to communicate and influence stakeholders effectively and on time
- You work well with others. You know how to build relationships with individuals who are peers as well as those who are senior and junior to you. You build trust with your team and the team you support, encouraging diverse perspectives. You know when to have hard conversations – without ego, to drive better outcomes. You have a passion to find more efficient ways of working and driving change in the teams you partner with
- You know how to influence and get decisions made. You are skilled at determining the right level of information needed to make a decision, and you know how to navigate through the company’s systems and network of people to get the data and information you need. You know how to influence at all levels within the company
- You adapt quickly to change and are comfortable with ambiguity. You understand that change is constant in technology; change is expected and welcomed. When you are met with ambiguity you ask questions and seek to understand. You know what risks are yours to take individually, and what risks should be escalated for further review
- Bachelor's degree (finance, accounting, economics or equivalent preferred)
- CPA or MBA is desired but not required
- 8+years of finance and business partnering experience
- Prior experience supporting a software product organization preferred
- Ability to operate at both strategic and day-to-day levels

- Experience working in a global and matrixed environment preferred
- AI-first mindset with eagerness to experiment with emerging technology
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using technologies and tools, including dashboards, financial modelling software, and automation tools (e.g. Anaplan, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, Qlikview, SAP, Snowflake)

Our take
Autodesk supplies software that enables teams to collaborate, design, simulate, and fabricate their ideas in 3D, serving a range of industries such as engineering, product design, and entertainment. Founded in 1982, the company first delivered the AutoCAD system, a commercial computer-aided design and drafting software application, that is still seeing updated releases to this day.
Over 100 million people use Autodesk software across various industries and applications – in some of which it remains nearly irreplaceable. The company has an impressive history of diversification, which it continues to this day. For example, the 2022 acquisition of Moxion, a cloud-based platform for digital dailies used by leading filmmakers, bolstered the company’s offerings for the media and entertainment industry.
The rise of AR and VR technologies is driving modern growth in the computer-aided design market, creating space for Autodesk to expand further. Additionally, a shift to the popular SaaS model positions the company to seek further success.
