Who you are
- You have solid experience with React/TypeScript and related frontend technologies (ReactQuery)
- You have solid experience with Python on the backend and related technologies (Flask, FastAPI)

What the job involves
- PasqOS is the software operating Pasqal's bleeding edge Quantum Processing Units (QPU)
- It is a fairly complex software that interacts with a lot of hardware written mostly in Python and mixes a lot of technologies
- It comes with a web interface and a set of APIs for cloud clients
- The web interface provides job management and health monitoring for the QPU
- We are looking for an experienced Fullstack developer interested in working on the Quantum Computing field and participate to Pasqal Operating System advances
- To develop, enhance and maintain the PasqOS user interface
- To develop, enhance and maintain PasqOS APIs for cloud access
- To suggest evolution and refactoring to the existing code base
- To implement tests and documentation for new features
- To help securing the application by applying good practices to avoid security holes
- To help new users in training
- To be proactive when it comes to optimizations, but also share your knowledge and experience with the team
- We are looking for an open-minded and passionate team player with good communication skills. No need for you to hold a Quantum physics PhD, but working in this company is the opportunity to talk with experts in various fields and learn tons of things about our technology

Our take
Classical computing, using bits made up of ones and zeros, have almost reached the physical limits of its capabilities, with engineers running out of ways to fit more transistors onto a computer chip. Meanwhile the processing demands on computing hardware only increase. Quantum computers have long been posited as a solution to this issue, with processors able to exploit quantum mechanics to perform calculations exponentially faster than any classical computer. Founded by a Nobel Prize for Physics recipient, Pasqal exists to bring quantum computing out of the realm of scientific research (and science fiction) and into the business world for the first time.
Pasqal is not alone in the race to produce quantum computers and it faces competition from well-funded rivals such as IonQ and IBM. However, it is pursuing a different technological line - neural atom computing, the ability to manipulate individual atoms with laser tweezers - which has the advantage of being more scalable and energy efficient, being able to run at room temperature rather than requiring supercooling.
In 2023, Pasqal closed a Series B funding round which will be used to develop its first quantum systems for use in business. Having successfully built proof of concept models and overcome the technical challenges of manipulating a few and then hundreds of atoms, Pasqal is building a bespoke control system and begin implementing quantum algorithms. Pasqal was also awarded one of five grants from the French Ministry of Defence in 2024, as part of a government plan to create 2 universal quantum computer systems for defence purposes by 2032. This new development indicates Pasqal's expansion from solely business purposes into new sectors where its technology can be impactful.
