Who you are

- To succeed in this role, you'll need demonstrable experience in the following:
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue
- Solid experience with back-end development using Typescript/Python frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, or Django is a plus)
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to create intuitive user experiences
- Proven ability to work in both rapid prototyping mode and to ship/maintain large-scale products
- Knowledge of modern front-end testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress
- Familiarity with deploying software for Cloud Environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) (IaC experience such as Terraform is a plus)
- Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker (Kubernetes experience is a plus)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excitement about working in a dynamic role with the autonomy and freedom you need to take ownership of problems and see them through to execution
- Contributions to open-source projects or personal side projects demonstrating passion for software development
What the job involves
- As a Senior Full Stack Engineer you will be working closely with one or multiple of our delivery teams who are responsible for visualising insights from the output of our data scientists
- Working within the Professional & Financial Services team, you'll have the opportunity to deliver solutions to some of the most unique challenges facing customers in that space using AI and Machine Learning, examples of which can be found here
- This role will evolve alongside business needs, but you can expect your key responsibilities to include
- Creating reliable, reusable and scalable frontend and backend to enable better delivery of AI systems
- Leading engineers in a cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Product Managers and Commercial staff to deliver technically sophisticated, high-impact systems
- Leading on the architecture and design of projects
- Offering leadership and management to more junior engineers on the team
- Be the go to authority for engineering across the stack within your team
- Providing technical expertise to our customers

The team has developed a platform with a large cloud computing space for accessing vast amounts of data for use in designing and testing AI models. Frontier, its Design Intelligence platform, develops digital twins for its customers, which give them more insight into useful applications for AI. Applied AI is Faculty's consulting division, working with clients to build and deploy tailored AI solutions.
Faculty has worked with clients in a range of different industries across the public and private sectors, including healthcare, retail, government and energy.
