What the job involves
- Magical is looking for a do-it-all, wear-many-hats-type Senior Product Manager to focus on building and scaling our core product and infrastructure, named the "Graph". In just under four years, Magical's AI-powered Graph now helps users automate tasks on >40K sites
- As Magical's Graph PM, you'll be at the forefront of scaling the 60K+ companies who use Magical to automate tasks to millions of sites across the web and beyond
- You'll work with a stellar engineering team specialized across data standardization, AI, and more to drive a performant user experience, while keeping an eye on scaling the platform to millions of users
- Own the product roadmap and prioritize features based on trade-offs, impact, and required work
- Become the subject-matter-expert at Magical for all things Graph, AI models, AI Agents, and best-practices you’re seeing across the industry
- Use data analysis tools and techniques to monitor product performance, measure key metrics, and derive actionable insights
- Write and receive feedback on Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to ensure concise agreement and execution of the product
- Organize and direct product road mapping sessions, collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Champion a user-centric approach by empathizing with users, understanding their needs, and advocating for their interests throughout the product development lifecycle
- Conduct user interviews to gain an intimate understanding of user workflows and generate product empathy
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Design teams on user studies and leverage insights in product requirements
- Communicate team status, progress, obstacles, and functional sequencing to the organization
- Embrace a growth mindset, actively seek feedback, learn from user interactions, and iterate on the product to improve its value continuously
- Act with urgency, unblocking stakeholders, and driving value to end-users

- 12 months at Magical is equivalent to a 3 year MBA. You will learn, see business growth, and take on responsibilities that span much further than your day-to-day mandate of being the PM on a team

Our take
It’s generally accepted that most workers in many sectors will complete at least one repetitive computer task within their work day. Magical is a platform hoping to remove the ache of these mundane tasks through its automation system.
The company doesn’t use specific integrations or APIs rather simply collects repeatedly used data that can then be collated on the likes of a google sheet or email. The platform stops you from typing the same thing over and over by populating repeatedly used text such as contact information. It's said to save an average of seven hours of work a week with its free-to-download chrome extension.
Founded in 2020, Magical is at a relatively early stage but has already attracted considerable funding. The company intends to use its 2022 funds to expand operations and continue development efforts to expand its features. The company has worked with over 10,000 businesses including Salesforce, Uber, Bolt, Disney, and Facebook. In 2023, Magical released a collaboration tool that boosted productivity by 20%, so it'll be exciting to see what other features it has up its sleeve as the company scales up.
