Role
Who you are
- 3 or more years of successful sales experience is required around one or more of our Core Competencies: Data Center (networking, storage, distributed systems), Unified Workspace (Unified Communications, Contact Center), Cloud and Security/Risk Management
- Bachelor's degree is a plus
- Significant communications industry knowledge is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Practiced and proven presentation experience with demonstrable success
- A self-motivated, assertive, and outgoing professional personality
What the job involves
- Meridian IT has a full-time Account Manager position available in the West Region. The Account Manager focuses on selling business solutions, consulting, design, implementation, and managed services.
- This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting opportunities in the West sales region
- REPORTS TO: Sales Director
- Developing a defined market with new customers
- Identifying and knowing every prospect
- Developing and driving a successful market development plan
- Identifying customer needs, develop value enhancing solutions and consulting on alternatives with client
- Mapping all divisions and key decision makers in each account; hunt new logos
- Weekly sales updates
- Achieving assigned sales targets on Monthly/Weekly accomplishments/CRM reports
- Proposal writing, financial justifications, closing the sale, follow up and account maintenance
- Leading the immediate sales team in developing new solutions and applications for customers
- Internal teamwork with partner groups to achieve complete customer satisfaction
- Taking total ownership of account plan and communicating to Meridian management on the strategy needed to be successful in territory: New customer development
