Role
Who you are
- 5+ years in CRM, lifecycle or marketing automation, with hands-on ownership of a marketing automation platform
- Braze specifically. Canvas, Liquid, connected content, API campaigns, catalogs. You've built in it, not briefed someone else who did
- Demonstrable experience with automation and AI in a CRM context. For example: predictive audiences, AI-assisted content and variant generation, automated QA or localisation, self-optimising journeys, or LLM-based workflows connected to your CRM stack. We care more about what you built and what changed as a result than about which tools you used
- Comfortable with data, hands-on. You write your own SQL, design the events you need, and read a model output critically rather than taking the score at face value. Experience with warehouse-driven CRM (Databricks, Hightouch or similar) is a strong plus
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email, plus enough technical fluency to work confidently with APIs, SDKs and integrations
- A genuine test-and-learn instinct, including healthy scepticism about your own results
- Care about doing this responsibly. Consent, data privacy and deliverability aren't someone else's problem, particularly when the audience is families
- Experience working closely with non-technical stakeholders to refine a vague requirement into something shipped
- Curious and playful. You're not afraid of tough challenges and confident enough to share your views
- English is a must: We’re a multicultural team providing a service in English, so while certifications aren’t necessary, fluency is essential. As a fully remote company, clear and effective spoken and written communication, especially in asynchronous, long-form formats, is key to collaborating successfully

What the job involves
- Twenty million families open Lingokids every month, and each one is a different kid at a different point in their learning
- As Senior CRM Manager, you'll own how we talk to all of them across email, push, and in-app messaging
- You'll build the automation and AI layer that keeps it personal at that scale: journeys that adapt to how each family actually plays and learns, audiences and content selected and generated automatically, and experimentation that runs continuously so the programme gets sharper every week
- You will own CRM as a domain end to end: the roadmap, the priorities, and the projects that run across Product, Data and Design
- Own and evolve our Braze setup. Canvases, journeys, segmentation, Liquid, connected content, API triggered campaigns and webhooks
- Design lifecycle automation that replaces manual work. Self-optimising journeys across onboarding, free-to-paid conversion, retention and win-back, with a clear view of which decisions the system should make on its own
- Put BrazeAI to work. Get real value out of the Intelligence and Predictive suites (intelligent timing, channel and variant selection, churn and event prediction), evaluate what's worth turning on next, and be honest about where these features add value and where they don't
- Use AI tooling to scale production and personalisation. Generating and adapting copy and creative variants, building localised versions, and automating QA so that quality goes up as volume goes up
- Build the system, not just the campaigns. Reusable components, templates, naming conventions and documentation, so that builds get faster and more consistent as the programme grows
- Partner with Data to feed better signals into CRM: event design, model outputs, audience syncs, and reporting we can actually trust
- Run a continuous experimentation programme (A/B, multivariate, holdout groups) and make sure the learnings change the next journey rather than sitting in a deck
- Own quality and governance end to end. Copy, rendering, links, deliverability, error handling, and consent and privacy compliance. We talk to grown-ups about their children, so the bar here is higher than in most CRM roles
- Report on CRM's contribution to conversion and retention, with commentary and recommendations a non-CRM colleague can act on
- Keep us current. Bring in what's working elsewhere in lifecycle marketing and AI-assisted CRM, and tell us what we should stop doing
Our take
Children learn best when they are engaged in their education, and learning through play is one of the best ways to achieve this. There is a huge variety of games, video lessons, and other online edutainment resources for parents to engage their children with, but these often lack the personalised and formal syllabus frameworks received during school hours
Lingokids develops an edutainment mobile application for children aged 2-8, consisting of games, video lessons, and audiobooks for children to learn from independently and with their families. The application is ad-free and certified as kidSAFE, and provides community and analytic tools for parents to keep track of their children's progress and activities
Whilst there are countless edutainment applications competing with the company, Lingokids stands out from the crowd with its approach of curating personalised syllabuses for children as opposed to one-size-fits-all educational exercises. With over 50 awards under its belt and over 200M downloads worldwide, Lingokids has certainly cemented itself as a leading edtech app for kids.
