Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a fast-growing start-up
- Autonomous and efficiently manage multiple priorities in a constantly evolving environment
- In-depth knowledge of HRIS systems, particularly Lucca, and HR tracking/automation tools
- Fluent in French and English

What the job involves
- In order to support Pennylane’s strong growth in Europe over the coming months, we are looking for a People Ops Specialist
- You will join the People Ops team, which is made up of the Head of People Operations (to whom you will report), four other People Ops Specialists, and our Workplace Experience Team
- As a member of our team, you will be the main point of contact for employees within your assigned departments, supporting them throughout their journey at Pennylane
- Your expertise in HR operations, as well as your skills in reporting and automating administrative processes, will help drive the company’s scale-up
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain and update employee administrative records
- Oversee employment contracts, amendments, certificates, etc
- Manage absences (leave, sickness, etc.)
- Prepare and transmit payroll variables to the payroll provider
- Monitor employee benefits (health insurance, pension, meal vouchers, etc.)
- Ensure an optimal employee experience: act as the main point of contact for Pennylaners, providing essential information throughout their journey at the company
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the employee experience
- Be a key point of contact for employees regarding daily HR matters
- Support the digitalization of HR tools and the optimization of processes
- Take part in HR projects (diversity & inclusion, EVP, QWL, etc.)
- Prepare and monitor HR reporting (dashboards, social indicators)
- Ensure regulatory HR monitoring
- Ensure compliance with legal and social obligations
- Maintain documentation and operational support: keep essential operational documentation up to date, including the onboarding booklet, Notion information pages, and other charters and guides

- A final interview for Culture/Team Fit (30min)
- We'll also encourage you to meet with your future team, during a 30min meeting (at the office or visio according to your preference)
Our take
In multiple mature markets, companies have been using QuickBooks, Xero and other SaaS solutions for accounting, but it is a fragmented industry with each country using its own software solution. In France, there is no definitive SaaS solution for accounting.
Pennylane wants to overhaul current tools and modernise the tech stack of accounting firms, by connecting directly with third-party services that hold valuable information. Accounting firms can use Pennylane collaboratively by accessing the platform to centralise receipts, create invoices and automate tasks. Instead of sending information back and forth with spreadsheets and photo attachments, both clients and accounting firms can interact directly on the platform.
Pennylane has a significant market opportunity ahead, with an ambitious goal to become the preferred management platform for European companies. The company already claims an impressive number of customers and strong backing which will allow it to further develop its platform and expand to other markets in Europe.
