Who you are

  • This position is ideal for someone passionate about sales and dedicated to understanding customer requirements to drive impactful results
  • We are looking for a confident, consultative Salesperson who is excited about engaging and building relationships with local pizzeria & restaurant owners. These are the core competencies this role calls for:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-6 years of selling experience
  • Excellent communication skills; effectively leads pitches and presentations and is comfortable both on the phone and in person
  • A self-motivated hustler who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced startup environment and is willing to contribute wherever necessary as plans and priorities change
  • A go-getter who is coachable, adaptable, internally motivated, and resilient
  • Customer-centric attitude; ability to be consultative, problem-solve and cater pitches to address owner specific pain points in real time
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the central CT area and work face-to-face with a variety of stakeholders and partners

  • Your mission is to deliver exceptional value through our comprehensive range of products, offering industry-leading pricing and streamlined processes to optimize their business efficiency and growth
  • As a Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving market growth and expanding our customer base. You will develop expertise across our entire product range, starting with "The Goods," which provides on-demand, affordable supplies to shops
  • Upon achieving success, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your portfolio to include all of Slice’s products, such as our online ordering platform and register (POS) product
  • By becoming well-versed in our offerings, you will make informed, strategic recommendations tailored to each customer's unique needs
  • Your success in this role will depend on your ability to ask insightful questions, manage objections effectively, and build lasting relationships with customers.
  • You will primarily be traveling around your territory to meet with owners in person, while also spending time on the phone scheduling appointments and increasing touch-points with owners.
  • This is a high-velocity, strategic sales role with lots of daily touch-points to different shops to achieve targets
  • You will report directly to our Head of Sales and collaborate closely with a dedicated team focused on your territory, working together to achieve shared goals and drive market success

The market for online food ordering is huge, with large competitors like Grubhub, Deliveroo, and Uber Eats controlling most of the market share. To differentiate itself, Slice has honed in on the popularity of pizza, and also provides extra services to its client restaurants that can help them compete with successful chains. It also charges a flat subscription fee, in comparison to the high commission rates charged by most delivery platforms.

Slice works with over 19,000 independent pizzerias across all 50 US states. It has recently hired new members of its executive team and was featured in Crunchbase's SMB Tech 50, a testament to its growth and popularity so far. It is the US's largest pizza network, nearly triple the footprint of Domino's, and it hopes to continue this upward growth in the coming years.
