- We are seeking a hybrid Talent Experience & Workplace Manager to own the on-the-ground employee and candidate experience in our San Francisco office
- This is a unique opportunity to shape both how our people work day-to-day and how future teammates first encounter Valon
- You’ll be the heartbeat of our SF office: keeping operations seamless, creating delightful moments, and supporting the recruiting engine that fuels our growth
- Keep our SF office running like clockwork: supplies stocked, equipment functional, meeting spaces ready, and the space always looking sharp
- Partner with vendors (cleaning, food, security, maintenance) to ensure a polished, welcoming environment
- Manage office budgets, purchasing, and contracts with attention to detail and taste
- Plan and execute events that bring the team together—from intimate team lunches to large-scale offsites
- Build creative, memorable experiences that celebrate milestones and strengthen connection
- Infuse warmth and personality into the office environment— well-curated snacks, or small surprises that make people smile
- Be the first face visitors and candidates meet—welcoming, professional, and approachable
- Serve as the go-to contact for SF-based employees for office needs, space reservations, local tips
- Gather feedback and iterate on ways to improve the workplace experience
- Own the scheduling process for interviews—ensuring seamless, candidate-friendly logistics
- Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to provide a high-touch candidate experience
- Anticipate and remove friction: manage reschedules, prep interviewers, and keep communication clear and professional
- Track recruiting pipelines, support candidate communications, and help refine processes for speed and quality
- Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers—flagging bottlenecks, suggesting improvements, and helping Valon raise the bar on talent operations
Our take
Valon is attempting to bring smoother, clearer customer service to the often unsophisticated industry of mortgage services. Its cloud-native mobile platform allows borrowers to make payments and manage escrow accounts while avoiding time-consuming call centers, inaccurate information and poorly designed websites. In turn, lenders can use the platform to request API feeds to gather information on customer performance.
The company is aiming to disrupt and bring down the costs in a market that it sees as heavily monopolized, and which is largely devoid of customer-oriented innovation. Currently, mortgage servicing giant Black Knight controls over half of all residential loans in the US, the result of which has seen a 250% increase in servicing costs in the last decade.
Valon's growth so far has been remarkable. The company went from zero contracts in 2019 to $65 billion in mortgages in 2024, with a 400% year-on-year growth. Its remarkable growth attracted over $169 million in funding in 2024. On top of this boost, it has further diversified its capabilities to include servicing government-sponsored home loans from the Federal National Mortgage Association.
