Role
Who you are
- Adyen is looking for a data-driven, proactive and collaborative digital marketing manager
- You are our ideal candidate if you are experienced with B2B digital marketing, a strong communicator and fluent in working with revenue-based goals
- You have a hands-on mentality, with an ability to develop, implement, track and optimize new marketing initiatives
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing and customer acquisition. B2B tech experience is a plus
- Strong background in SEA (e.g. Google, Bing) and other paid acquisition channels (e.g. Social). Knowledge in SEO and programmatic advertising (eg. DV360) is a plus
- A results-driven marketing professional with a proven ability to strategically create, execute, and optimize successful campaigns for specific audiences, consistently improving marketing ROI
- High language proficiency in both German and English
- Tool knowledge (eg. Google Analytics, Salesforce, Marketo, Looker) is a plus
- Ability to travel internationally 20%+
What the job involves
- This role will work from our Berlin office and report directly to the Head of Marketing DACH
- The digital marketing role is focused on driving impact for Adyen’s acquisition efforts of new customers through digital marketing channels
- In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, setting up and optimizing targeted digital marketing campaigns across owned, earned and paid channels
- This is a matrixed role collaborating across the local and global marketing teams to optimize Adyen’s impact through digital channels
- Develop and implement digital initiatives for all paid channels to maximize lead generation in the DACH market, and actively support the CEE region in exploring and delivering on new opportunities
- Work closely with the local commercial teams and global acquisition team to generate sales accepted opportunities from digital channels
- Leverage analytic tools to determine effectiveness of campaigns and promotions across all channels. Optimize on a daily basis
- Handle local media buying through either direct deals and / or agencies
- Manage digital agency relationship including campaign briefings, media plans, day to day communication, campaign optimisation, budget allocation and evaluations

Adyen has been one of the most successful businesses in Europe over the last decade. When it went public in 2018 at a valuation of €7bn, it raised over €1bn and its share price popped on the first day, resulting in a valuation of €14bn. Its valuation has continued to climb by the billions.
Adyen competes with large players like PayPal, as well as outsized startups like Stripe, to power payments and provide other infrastructure to conduct digital transactions. Disrupters in the field have been buoyed by a strong rise in eCommerce activity, where some or all of a transaction by a customer is made either online or by mobile.
Adyen has been one of the companies riding the wave by helping to reduce the friction between a company choosing to take payments online, and actually being able to do it. That can take multiple steps and agreements across numerous countries — Adyen’s pitch is that it essentially handles all of it in the backend as a service for its users. Notable partners have included Autocanteen, a touchless self-checkout solution for the hospitality industry, and BILL, a small business-focused fintech platform.
