To revive an industry that's been starved of modernity and change for too long.
Role
Who you are

- 4-7 years of experience in a business analytics, business intelligence, or Technical Account Manager role
- Understanding of consumer brands, ecommerce, and important metrics and benchmarks in the industry; ideally you have used data and analysis to drive business decisions for ecommerce companies / consumer brands
- An exceptional communicator with the ability to talk to merchants about complex analysis and how to use the analysis to drive value and decision making
- Experience in one or more of the following brand verticals is a plus: Jewelry, Furniture / Home Improvement, Consumer Electronics, Auto Parts, Sporting Goods, or Eyewear

- Strong communication skills — you can explain data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A self-starter mindset: you ask good questions, dig into problems independently, and know when to loop others in
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Client Insights team and play a key role in how we use data to protect and empower our merchant partners
- This role sits at the intersection of analytics, product, strategy, sales, and merchant success; the models, reporting, and insights created by this individual will directly impact sales and merchant retention
- Our team is helping build the next generation of AI-driven post-purchase customer solutions, and this role will be instrumental in driving the success of these solutions
- Serve as the analytical bridge between Sales and prospective/existing merchants; translate data and analysis into business cases, pricing models, and compelling financial narratives
- Partner with Merchant Success to build analyses that demonstrate ROI, justify expansion, and support renewal conversations
- Interact directly with merchants and potential merchants to understand their reporting needs; build strong relationships and leverage your analytical background and consumer data expertise to deliver a best-in-class analytics and support experience for large consumer brands
- Analyze product data and work with the product and engineering teams to drive product improvements and help build the product roadmap
Our take
Extend allows online and offline merchants to offer product warranties and protection plans at the point of sale. It aims to provide a comprehensive and centralized warranty system where before there was not one. The company also provides customers themselves with a fast support experience, where 95% of claims are resolved in just 90 seconds.
Its API based platform is integrated into the likes of Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and BigCommerce, and can also be integrated into private client-owned e-commerce platforms. This ease of use is what makes Extend so appealing for clients.
On top of this, its seen good funding thats fuelled business growth and geographical expansion. It’s interesting to note that PayPal Ventures and SoftBank are two of their main backers, as this indicates that payment giants see the value of these point of sale transactions. And in 2022, it was named a certified partner of Shopify and reached an important milestone in becoming a full-service company, taking it one step closer to its vision of becoming the "AppleCare for everything".
