Role
Who you are
- Proven experience as an IT Lead/IT Project Manager, or similar role in a fast-growing SaaS or tech environment
- Experience managing operational IT projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Previous experience leading or mentoring technical teams is a strong plus
- Strong hands-on experience with SaaS administration tools such as Google Workspace, Jamf, Slack, Notion, Okta, and Cloudflare Zero Trust
- Solid understanding of Identity & Access Management concepts, including SSO and SCIM
- Comfortable working in Apple/macOS environments
- Good understanding of IT security, access governance, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2
- Familiarity with AI tools, LLMs, automation workflows, and enterprise AI adoption practices
- Scripting and automation skills (Bash/Zsh, Python) are considered a strong plus
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive topics end-to-end
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented approach balancing security, scalability, and user experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Rigorous approach to documentation, operational quality, and continuous improvement
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills in fast-moving environments
- Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken)

- To support this growth, we’re looking for an IT & Projects Manager to lead our IT Projects team, own our internal IT platforms and drive the projects that will help Pennylane scale successfully
- Reporting to the IT Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in continuously improving our internal IT environment and delivering a great employee experience across the company
- You’ll lead the IT Projects team and be responsible for the evolution of Pennylane’s internal IT environment
- Your role combines people management, internal platform ownership, cross-functional project management and continuous improvement
- You’ll work closely with the IT Support, Security Compliance, Application Security and Finance Security teams to ensure a reliable, secure and scalable IT environment for everyone at Pennylane
- You’ll manage the IT Projects team and help them grow
- Prioritizing the team’s roadmap and initiatives
- Coaching and developing team members
- Defining quality standards and best practices
- Ensuring successful project delivery
- Building a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement
- You’ll own the administration, security and evolution of our internal IT platforms

- You’ll help identify valuable AI use cases, support the deployment of approved AI tools and encourage responsible AI adoption across the company

Our take
In multiple mature markets, companies have been using QuickBooks, Xero and other SaaS solutions for accounting, but it is a fragmented industry with each country using its own software solution. In France, there is no definitive SaaS solution for accounting.
Pennylane wants to overhaul current tools and modernise the tech stack of accounting firms, by connecting directly with third-party services that hold valuable information. Accounting firms can use Pennylane collaboratively by accessing the platform to centralise receipts, create invoices and automate tasks. Instead of sending information back and forth with spreadsheets and photo attachments, both clients and accounting firms can interact directly on the platform.
Pennylane has a significant market opportunity ahead, with an ambitious goal to become the preferred management platform for European companies. The company already claims an impressive number of customers and strong backing which will allow it to further develop its platform and expand to other markets in Europe.
