4+ years of experience across strategic finance / corporate finance / FP&A at a high-growth technology startup
Strong preference for additional experience in investment banking or consulting

What the job involves

We are seeking a future leader with a sharp analytical mind and strong business acumen to join as an early member of the Strategic Finance team
You will combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to dive deep into complex financial and operational matters and be instrumental in shaping Hayden’s long-term strategy
The ability to translate data into actionable insights and influence stakeholders is essential
This role will be highly visible and offers the chance to develop your operational finance skills and make a significant impact on the company's growth
Forecasting & reporting: Work closely with company leadership to develop financial forecasts, key performance indicators, and long-term strategic plans that optimize resource allocation with company objectives
Analyze monthly financial and operating results vs. plan to identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies
Roll up variances at the company level and prepare regular reports to company leadership and Board of Directors
Financial analysis: Support ROI-based projects focused on unit economics, operational excellence, labor strategies, and more
Work cross-functionally to build business cases supporting any capital efficiency initiatives
Process improvement: Identify inefficiencies with existing financial processes and implement solutions to improve accuracy, speed, and scalability
Drive evaluation and implementation of new FP&A tooling system to help us mature our budgeting process
Financial modeling: Help improve existing three-statement model (i.e. IS, BS, CFS) and leverage outputs to distill critical insights and drive better investment decisions
Corporate development: Assist ad-hoc in evaluating potential partnerships, investments, and other opportunities to drive inorganic business growth

Our take

Cities around the world are dealing with clogged bus lanes, blocked stops, and traffic violations that slow down public transit and put people at risk. It's a huge problem that most cities face, but one that's often hard to monitor or enforce effectively.

Hayden AI is tackling this problem with its smart, bus-mounted cameras powered by AI. They automatically detect when vehicles block bus lanes or stops, helping cities gather real-time data and tacke action to imprvoe safety and traffic flow. Already in use in cities like New York, LA, and now Barcelona and Braga, it's a neat idea and one that's keeping buses moving and riders safe.

Its work is more than just ticketing, it's about making cities smarter, greener, and safer for everyone and its been making big moves. It just wrapped up its pilot in Portugal that revealed nearly 8,000 violations in just three months, and launched the largest automated enforcement project in Europe in Barcelona. With over $193M raised, the company is certainly growing fast and turning head in the govtech space.
