Who you are

Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Foundational knowledge of circuit design, power systems, or control systems
Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, SPICE, or CAD software is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment

What the job involves

As part of our mission to transform how energy is generated and delivered, we are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers to support the design, testing, and integration of electrical systems that power our advanced reactors
This is an opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world engineering challenges while contributing to a pioneering clean energy technology
Assist with the design, modeling, and analysis of electrical systems and components
Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware and instrumentation
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, software, nuclear) to ensure system reliability and safety
Contribute to documentation, schematics, and technical reports
Participate in lab and prototyping work as needed

Our take

To support the clean energy revolution, Radiant Nuclear is developing a portable, containerised nuclear microreactor. Once launched, it will have the potential to provide power to remote parts of the world or act as a backup supply to vital infrastructure such as hospitals and data centres.

Typically, these backup systems are powered by diesel generators - making them extremely bad for the environment. Radiant's microreactors could allow the replacement of these generators whilst supplying the same critical asset support, enabling a substantial reduction in carbon footprint.

Having completed the design phase of the project, Radiant has taken a step closer towards realising its portable microreactor (known as Kaleidos). On the back of impressive Series D funding, the company intends to test a prototype as early as mid-2026 and has secured considerable funding to support its work towards that goal.
