Role
Who you are
- We’re looking for someone who is product-minded, deeply curious, grounded in user experience, and excited to define new ways of building AI products — ways that feel polished, intuitive, and delightful
- 6+ years of experience developing high-craft software products, with a background in user-facing product development or having shipped AI features from 0-1
- You have hands-on experience building with LLMs, an understanding of how they work, and a genuine curiosity to go deep on the technology
- You’re experienced in solving ambiguous problems and have successfully owned complex technical initiatives and projects that have had an outsized impact on a business
- You’re pragmatic, motivated by nebulous problems, and excited to work in a startup environment with quick product validation cycles
- You resonate with our company values and can continue to scale your team with these in mind

- As a Product Engineer at The Browser Company, you’ll play a key role in shaping novel AI features in Dia that redefine how users engage with the browser's core primitives - tabs, history, navigation, and more - so browsing feels effortless and work feels easier

- Lead, architect, and execute LLM-powered features to redefine core Browser primitives
- Collaborate closely with Design, Product, Data, and our Leadership teams to brainstorm, prototype, and launch new features
- Champion a product-minded approach, ensuring every technical decision is grounded in user impact and business value
- Sweat the small stuff to deliver high-craft, industry-leading, interaction-rich user experiences which set the bar for what's possible
- Get familiar with Chromium, Swift and our development environment across Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android

Our take
Web browsers enable people to access all that they want from the internet. However, this tool is often ignored, and despite all the changes to other software over the years, it has remained relatively unchanged. The Browser Company delivers Arc and Dia - new web browsers designed to be faster as well as more personal, focused and creative than traditional options.
Founded in 2019, The Browser Company sees an opportunity to create a browser that excites. Brand dedication for the more common browsers is limited, as they are designed to act in the background. Instead, The Browser Company wants Arc and Dia to act intelligently, visibly overcoming problems like overwhelming hits, online distraction and information being hidden under irrelevant results.
Its competitors of course include some of the biggest names in tech, but it hopes to stand out with a browser that is dramatically new and more powerful, which will earn its own unique space in the market. Arc was released for mobile and Windows in 2024, followed by the AI-focussed Dia in 2025, and they have so-far been met with positive reviews.
