Who you are
- We're looking for product-minded engineers who care as much about the user experience as they do about clean architecture and code quality
- You'll thrive here if you enjoy taking ownership, collaborating across disciplines, and building polished experiences that solve real customer problems
- 3+ years of full-time industry experience working on iOS
- A deep understanding of the iOS SDK
- Strong platform fundamentals (SwiftUI, CoreData, Xcode instruments)
- Strong CS background
- Strong Swift skills
- Testing mindset and an eye for clean code
- An eye for good UX
- Really comfortable with Git
- Excellent communication in English
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related subject
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join Blueground's Client-Facing Mobile team and help shape the future of the guest experience
- Our mobile app is one of Blueground's most strategic products, accompanying guests throughout their entire journey—from discovering and booking their next home to managing every aspect of their stay
- As we continue to invest heavily in our technology platform, we're redesigning our post-booking experience from the ground up while expanding the app to cover the complete booking journey, making it the primary touchpoint for thousands of guests every day
- As part of the team, you'll build high-quality native iOS experiences using modern technologies and engineering practices, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver features that are intuitive, reliable, and delightful to use
- You'll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, improve the architecture of our mobile platform, and contribute to a product that directly impacts our guests every day

Taking clear inspiration from Airbnb, Blueground caters to the increasing demand for all medium and long-stay rentals - both from holidayers seeking more unique stays, and the growing nomadic workforce. Its focus on the renter experience - with additional services, such as regular housekeeping or maintenance, available through its app - is what makes the company stand out in the space.
Blueground has stated aims to have a presence in 50 cities around the world and a portfolio of more than 50,000 apartments by 2025, an ambitious goal that will rely heavily on its ability to scale its operationally-intensive business (due to the local support teams required). The recent acquisition of corporate housing specialist Travellers' Haven will enable it to expand its US footprint, as it invests its 2024 funds into growth.
