Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering
- Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (Python)
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Prefect)
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Experience with clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Strong collaboration skills
- Capability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods
- Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment
What the job involves
- The Senior Data Engineer will help build our data infrastructure
- . You'll work with product, engineering, and analytics teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and ready for powering analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases., reporting directly to the Engineering Manager
- Design scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming)
- Build our data warehouse and data lake solutions
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to improve data availability and quality
- Implement data quality, observability, and governance best practices
- Support ETL/ELT processes, data transformations, and data model design
- Contribute to the selection and implementation of modern data tools and frameworks
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical data infrastructure
