Role
Who you are
- You have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in spearheading strategic initiatives within the govtec sector
- You will possess a track record of engaging with a diverse spectrum of stakeholders, including governmental bodies across Europe
- A natural born problem solver, you are able to swiftly adapt to new concepts and comfortably navigate complex subject matters
- You are a clear communicator and are proficient in the art of negotiating at a high level and have shown you are successful in securing financial sustainability for previous projects
- Any background in fundraising and donations is considered a valuable asset
- You are business fluent in English
What the job involves
- As a Sustainability Manager (f/m/d) -freelance, you will showcase a knack for strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving. Using your track record in managing large scale projects, you will excel in securing governmental partnerships across Europe, ensuring the project's long-term financial sustainability
- Steer the project into a progressive future by proactively securing financial sustainability through engagement with governmental stakeholders
- Use your experience to strategically identify and map potential stakeholders who will benefit from the project's outcomes, and proactively engage in efforts to secure these valuable partnerships
- Skillfully engage in negotiations with government officials throughout Europe, successfully concluding contracts with them and securing financial sustainability for the project
- Conduct thorough research, summarizing data points to back up your decision-making and project execution at every stage
- Prepare regular, engaging presentations and insightful reports for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication
- Work in close collaboration with the CEO, CFO, project manager, and external stakeholders, contributing to the success of the project

As a result, the market for mid- to long-term lets is growing, with demand anticipated to continue rising over the coming years. Proptech company Wunderflats is taking advantage of this trend.
Wunderflats has a broad scope; covering company travel arrangements, lettings for families & students, and a full furnishing and property management service. With operations beginning in Germany, the company found a lucrative testing ground that enabled it to showcase the popularity of its service, which in turn enabled it to secure growth funding. With this, it has brought its offering to 6 German cities, as well as beginning European expansion with Paris.
Germany has one of the largest rental markets in the EU, in addition to being one of the more popular destinations for digital nomads, which definitely contributed to Wunderflats gaining an edge over other hospitality providers. As the company brings its product to other EU markets, it will be interesting to watch how it effectively handles expansion and adaption to the demands of other countries and their consumers.
