Company mission
To accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence.
Role
Who you are
- 8+ years of experience in deal desk, revenue operations, sales finance, investment banking, or a similar analytical role
- Demonstrated success in building and managing programs supporting the scalable operation of commercial workflows
- Experience working with sales teams, ideally in an enterprise technology business
- Comfortable reading contracts and identifying terms that matter financially, without needing a lawyer to translate
- Fluent in Salesforce (or a comparable CRM/CPQ tool)
- SQL proficiency (BigQuery or similar)
- Good judgment about when to move fast on a standard deal versus when to slow down and escalate
- We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services
- If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe
Desirable
- Experience in cloud infrastructure, compute, or another capital-intensive recurring-revenue business
- Exposure to building or maintaining a pricing or tradeoff framework
What the job involves
- Crusoe's Sales team is growing, and we're hiring a Finance Manager to build and run the financial governance program that supports our deal desk
- As our compute business scales, deal volume scales with it, and this role exists to keep speed and control moving together instead of trading off against each other
- You'll design the processes, policies, and tooling that keep pricing frameworks, deal approvals, and contract review moving fast, and you'll be the strategic finance partner Sales and RevOps come to on deal questions
- Because you sit across the whole deal book, you're also positioned to spot trends in discounting and deal terms early, and to shape how the program evolves as the business grows
- Develop processes and procedures to ensure financial governance of our deal quoting and approval workflow
- Be a strategic business partner for Sales and RevOps on deal questions, drive creation of pricing options for standard-SKU deals, and create tooling to enable a term/prepay tradeoff framework
- Review deals against policy and approve or route for further sign-off
- Interpret contract language to flag terms that create financial, accounting or operational risk, and loop in Legal or Pricing when needed
- Build and maintain reporting on discounting trends, deal cycle time, and policy exceptions
- Take on ad hoc analysis for GTM and Finance leadership like understanding how deal terms are trending across the book of business or modeling the impact of a proposed change to the tradeoff framework
- Partner with Sales, RevOps, Legal, and Product Finance to keep the deal process moving without creating bottlenecks
Our take
Crusoe is tackling one of the biggest challenges facing the digital age: the enormous energy demand of data centres and AI infrastructure. As AI models grow more powerful, they require immense computing power (and therefor electricity) to train and operate. This surge in energy use has put some pressure on power grids, driven up costs, and raised environmental concerns. Crusoe is on a mission to make this process more sustainable by finding smarter, cleaner, and more efficient ways to power the data centres that drive modern computing.
The company started out by putting wasted energy to work. Originally known as Crusoe Energy, it captured natural gas that would otherwise be burned off ("flared") at remote oil sites and used it to power modular data centres. Today, Crusoe has evolved into a major player in AI infrastructure, designing and operating large-scale data centres near renewable or stranded energy sources. It's now one of a handful of "neocloud" companies (next-generation cloud providers focused on flexible, efficient computing for AI workloads). And its facilities are helping tech giants like OpenAI handle the massive computing requirements of training advanced AI models.
Recently, Crusoe has attracted some huge investor attention, tripling its valuation to over $10B and raising almost $1.4B in its 2025 funding round. It's building OpenAI's first major US data centre campus and even experimenting with bold new frontiers. In partnership with Starcloud, Crusoe plans to deploy the world's first space-based cloud computing infrastructure, powered by solar energy and orbiting the Earth by 2027. If successful, this could redefine how and where computing happens, opening up a cleaner, virtually limitless source of energy for AI's next generation.
