Who you are
- Advanced degree in finance, law, audit, or risk management
- Minimum [3–5] years of experience in compliance or risk control within an asset management company or financial institution
- Strong knowledge of the AIFM regulatory framework and AMF obligations
- Proficiency in risk monitoring tools and regulatory reporting
- Ability to analyze complex situations and propose pragmatic solutions
- Autonomous, rigorous, organized, and team-oriented
- Fluency in English is mandatory
What the job involves
- As part of the upcoming authorization of our French subsidiary by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) as an AIFM management company, we are building the team that will be based in Paris, France to support our French operations
- As Risk & Compliance Officer you will ensure the effective monitoring and implementation of fundcraft’s compliance and internal control framework in line with AIFM regulatory requirements
- This role is key in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial, operational, market, and liquidity risks associated with managed funds
- The officer develops and maintains risk tracking and reporting tools, conducts regular control tests, and ensures timely and accurate regulatory reporting to supervisory authorities
- Acting as a bridge between regulatory expectations and internal practices, the role also involves contributing to policy development, supporting audits, training teams on compliance best practices, and staying abreast of regulatory evolutions to strengthen fundcraft’s governance and risk culture
- This position is based in Paris, France and reports directly to the Country Head France
- Ensure the monitoring and implementation of the compliance and internal control framework in accordance with AIFM regulatory requirements
- Identify, measure, and monitor financial, operational, market, and liquidity risks related to the managed funds
- Develop and maintain risk tracking and reporting tools for management and supervisory authorities
- Conduct periodic control tests, analyze incidents, and propose corrective actions to reduce risk exposure
- Contribute to the development and updating of risk management and internal control policies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations vis-à-vis the AMF and other competent authorities
- Train and raise awareness among teams on best practices in risk management and compliance
- Participate in internal and external audits and prepare regulatory reporting
- Stay up to date on regulatory and methodological developments regarding risk control and compliance practices
