Role
Who you are
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 5-7 years of full-time industry experience; or a Master's degree in Computer Science and 3-5 years of full-time industry experience
- You have extensive experience as an engineer and have demonstrated your ability to manage and negotiate technical requirements while ensuring that software engineering teams efficiently operate at a high level
- You have knowledge and experience implementing and customizing complex systems
- You are an experienced leader managing people and systems with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish strategic goals
- We’d be especially excited if you have start-up experience or worked on teams in AI or search technology spaces
What the job involves
- Own and maintain the technical aspects of our partner projects, from translating business requirements into technical requirements by diving deeply into our AI system
- Adapt and grow our partnerships through constant iteration, adding value to our partners while discussing solutions with our internal engineering teams to improve our internal platform
- Design and implement long-term solutions or short-term workarounds as appropriate to achieve business objectives
- Work cross-functionally with program management, product management, business development, internal engineering, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time

SoundHound AI has developed products with unrivalled accuracy across nearly two dozen languages, giving them a real edge over Google and Amazon’s competing products. To consolidate this lead, the company also made a number of strategic, big-name partnerships to broaden their products’ uptake, with the likes of Tencent, Hyundai, Nvidia, and Samsung counted among them.
By keeping its products customizable and broadly applicable, SoundHound AI was successful in its IPO bid, which will cement its position globally as the sector continues to develop. Although taking a hit from the poor economic climate, alongside many of its fellows, the company has secured post-IPO funds. And it paid off its post-IPO debt in 2024, making it lighter on its feet as it captures new markets and customers in the voice-enabled AI sector.
