Role
Who you are
- This role requires a deep understanding of D365 BC functionalities, business processes, integration capabilities, and best practices in solution architecture
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP systems, particularly in D365 BC, along with expertise in integrating various systems within the Microsoft portfolio, including PowerApps, PowerBI, and external systems
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing D365 BC solutions, with a strong focus on integration design using Microsoft portfolio products and external systems
- Proficient in D365 BC functionalities (including latest releases, both financial, manufacturing, and supply chain),as well as commonly used ISVs
- Client-facing experience deploying Power BI reports with D365 BC implementations
- Strong understanding of integration technologies and patterns, including REST APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Power Platform, Dataverse, etc
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Ability to work as a team with other Sikich solution architects, both pre-sales and billable client design work
- This role would report directly to a Solution Architect team leader for guidance and mentorship
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions
- Relevant certifications in D365 BC and Microsoft integration technologies
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning

What the job involves
- The D365 BC Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and laying the foundation for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients
- Contributes to the design and architecture of D365 BC solutions based on client requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
- Develops integration strategies for connecting D365 BC with other systems within the Microsoft ecosystem considering data flows, security, and scalability
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and solution designs
- Provides technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the implementation lifecycle, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices
- Produces a gap-fit analysis document with a proposed solution for each requirement
- Outlines the necessary configuration of D365 BC solutions, leveraging platform capabilities to meet unique business needs while minimizing the need for custom code
- Outlines a comprehensive data migration plan that aligns with the scope of the project
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that implemented solutions meet quality standards, performance requirements, and security protocols
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in D365 BC and related areas, identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovation
