Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in building secure, high-performance infrastructure that can scale to meet growing demand. Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate the value and functionality of your work are essential
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure or DevOps Engineering roles
- Based in a U.S. time zone (PT, MT, CT, or ET)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementation in automated deployments
- Demonstrated experience with cloud computing platforms (ex. GCP, AWS) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Expertise in observability best practices and monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, DataDog, Grafana)
- Demonstrated experience in deploying, operating, and optimizing high-performance, large-scale blockchain infrastructure including blockchain nodes
- Experience with at least 1 of EVM or Cosmos SDK blockchain ecosystems
- Experience with Linux, cloud networking, and containerization technology like Docker
- Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written
Desirable
- Experience with at least one orchestration platform (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Python, Rust, Go, and/or Solidity
What the job involves
- Ondo is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, scale, and maintain a soon-to-be-announced core blockchain infrastructure layer. This 0-to-1 project has the potential to impact millions of users and developers worldwide
- Implement improvements to optimize system scalability, performance, and fault tolerance
- Design and manage internal pipelines that automate build/test/deploy of key Ondo infrastructure
- Proactively handle incident response, investigate root causes, and resolve issues related to Ondo infrastructure with appropriate urgency
- Create a monitoring/alerting/on-call system to ensure Ondo infrastructure has optimal availability and performance
- Drive strategic technical decisions for the infrastructure roadmap, overall tech stack, and engineering practices
- Collaborate with protocol and smart contract engineers to integrate nodes and other relevant services
Our take
The crypto market hit it’s all-time peak in 2021 at a value of $3 trillion, whilst it’s not at the optimum place it was cryptocurrency is still very much challenging competitors in the digital currency market. Ondo finance is looking to innovate on top of the traditional crypto models offering structure investment products to users. The company has two branches; an asset management tool and a technology tool that develops decentralized finance protocols, each with their own interface.
A huge win for the company was a 2023 tokenizing exposure to US Treasuries becoming the first tokenized bond backed by US Treasury bills and bank deposits. With this Ondo has stood its ground as a market leader alongside its continued efforts to roll out new tokenised real-world assets and nurture protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto. The company boasts a large amount of funding that has supported and continues to support development in the sector to retain its position in the space.
