- You have at least 1.5 years of hands-on experience in corporate transactions, ideally at a top-tier law firm or a venture capital firm
- You bring deep expertise in drafting and negotiating venture capital and/or private equity transaction agreements
- You communicate clearly and effectively—whether you're aligning internal stakeholders, negotiating deal terms, or managing external counsel
- You are fluent in both German and English
What the job involves
- Transactional Leadership. You will independently drive and manage venture capital investments and other transactions globally, with a focus on Europe, the U.S., India, and Latin America. This will include helping with term sheet negotiations, conducting and managing due diligence, reviewing, negotiating and drafting a wide range of agreements and working with external legal counsel on the same. In doing so, you will work closely with our investment team
- Shaping the Legal Function: Together with our General Counsel, you will shape and build the legal backbone of a global venture capital firm. That will include building out and improving our transactional and legal processes and standards, including by creating, maintaining, and improving standardized documents and agreements
- Legal Sparring Partner: You will be a legal sparring partner to our investment team and other internal functions (e.g., Finance and HR) on a wide range of transactional, legal, corporate, compliance, and regulatory matters
- Portfolio Support: You will work with our portfolio companies on legal-related questions
- During the onboarding process you will be assigned a personal mentor at Picus who will provide you with guidance and support in regular mentoring sessions
