Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field

What the job involves

Are you ready to dive into the world of People Operations and make a real impact in a dynamic international retail company?
This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in HR and learn about various operational processes that keep our teams running smoothly!
The role is available as of February for 40 hours a week for 5-6 months at our Amsterdam HQ
In this position you will report into our People Operations Specialist
Dive deep into HR with a focus on operational support, supporting different markets (e.g. NL, UK, BE) and widening your knowledge of international labour law
Get a hands-on experience with day-to-day administrative tasks, from drafting employment contracts to onboarding new hires
Work closely with our People team and get valuable insights and mentorship
Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee experience and improving HR processes
Administrative Support: Assist with drafting employment contracts, collecting onboarding information, and maintaining employee data in our HR system HiBob
Employee Interaction: Regularly communicate with employees and store managers, answering questions and proactively seeking relevant information
Payroll Preparation: Help prepare the monthly payroll by checking all necessary changes and documentation
Research: Conduct research on employee legislation to support People Business Partners with advisory cases and policy changes
Recruitment Collaboration: Ensure our new hires in retail are processed correctly and able to start on time

Our take

Prescription eyewear can be expensive, unfashionable and overly complicated to purchase. Ace & Tate solves this problem by manufacturing and selling high-quality designer eyewear directly to customers.

Unlike more traditional optometrists and eyewear outlets, such as Specsavers, Ace & Tate's stores are modelled as bright, spacious boutiques. This appeals directly to fashion conscious customers, and has proven lucrative for the company so far. On top of this, the brand offers free eye tests, and as it cuts out unnecessary middlemen. Its glasses start at under £100, significantly less than other boutique eyewear brands.

The brand now operates in seven countries, and is looking to grow its operations considerably. The company will have to scale without endangering the sustainability of its product if it is to hold onto its already impressive following.
