Role
Who you are
- You will likely have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in relevant roles, ideally within a technology environment. You will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Experience working with NetSuite and Power BI would be an advantage
- Financial/business modelling experience in a complex business environment including integrated consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow
- Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information, combined with a strategic mind
- You will be a results-driven, solutions-oriented individual, comfortable operating in a fast-paced /high volume transaction environment with competing priorities
- You will bring good communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for data integrity and process definition and a strong customer focus
- You will have a track record of hands-on activity and achievement of goals, able to have a flexible, can-do attitude, combined with a high degree of resilience and a maturity of judgement. You will also have a strong team focus, calm demeanour, and a capacity to have some fun at work
What the job involves
- The FP&A Analyst will be a key member of the Roomex Finance Team, who will partner with commercial, operational and Information technology teams to transform data into actionable business insights to drive continued improved company performance in line with our strategic vision
- The ideal candidate will be available to join us ideally once or twice a month in our Roomex Dublin office
- Preparation and presentation of value-adding reporting to facilitate commercial decision-making
- The provision of detailed monthly performance reporting of Commercial and Operational financials against budget, forecast and multi-year plans
- Gain deep understanding of revenue /costs drivers in business with ability to identify action oriented insights
- Reporting of weekly / monthly revenue and profitability analysis by country, customer, and cohort
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets
- Engage into development of new tracking, analytical, reporting tools and dashboards
- Develop /enhance financial models and forecasting
- Design financial processes that will link operational performance to the P&L, and to better anticipate the future
- Own the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monthly forecast updates in conjunction with senior leadership, finance teams including group/parent reporting

Roomex’s travel booking and spend management helps companies and their employees easily book accommodation and manage their expenses. As well as its booking platform, the company has also launched a mobile app and debit card for employees to gain more visibility of their work-travel spend.
Despite the shift to remote working and digital meetings, the Business Travel market is still expected to grow significantly over the next half decade, putting Roomex in an opportune position. The company has grown steadily at home in Ireland and the UK since its foundation in 2004, and has gained custom from the likes of Mitsubishi, Dairygold, Kepak, and Müller, highlighting the attractiveness of its proposition.
Roomex was acquired by FLEETCOR, a US spend management company in 2022. With Roomex's footprint already visible in Germany and the US, it will further benefit from FLEETCOR's network with the intention of expanding its product and accelerating sales and growth.
