What the job involves
- To continue our growth in enterprise, we are looking for a high-energy, creative, and curious Sales Development Representative (ideally in DC or NYC, but open to remote candidates). This individual will report to our Global Head of Sales Development, who is based in our Madrid office
- Also, he/she will be joining a team of 3 high skilled members split between USA and Spain and work closely with our NA (North America) team of Account Executives and Cloud Partnership Manager
- Develop new business leads and enhance existing relationships with strategic accounts, using outbound tactics to identify and open new opportunities
- Use our sales toolbox to drive opportunity creation. These tools include Salesforce, Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Qualified, among others
- Learn and be curious about our customer’s business problems, whether it’s geomarketing for CPG firms or radio network optimization for Telco players. You will invest time attending webinars, listening to podcasts, reading industry reports and following industry influencers who help you understand our prospects better
- Conduct sales development best practices with email, phone, and social drips using enablement technology to connect with new prospects and generate conversations
- Work closely and collaboratively with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans in line with our Account Based Marketing strategy, coordinating with our Account Executives to qualify opportunities
- Be able to demonstrate the value of CARTO for enterprise organizations, adapting your demo scripts and messaging to the needs of the potential customer
Our take
Spatial analysis data is highly valuable to most industries, but making use of such data can be tough. If a business wants to make actionable insights based on this information, they generally must employ data scientists that specialize in location intelligence, a complicated role that is expensive to fund.
Carto provides a cloud-native location intelligence platform, facilitating the storage, enrichment, analysis and visualization of spatial analysis data, without the need to employ specialists. The company claims that its users can access 70% of location-related data that is currently not used to drive decision making, allowing them to gain an edge in a variety of markets including logistics, retail, fintech and healthcare.
Carto has taken a unique approach by recognizing the complications that come with interpreting first-hand spatial data, making it simpler for data scientists to visualize data without having expertise in the subject area. It continues to bolster its offering with new capabilities, such as AI agents to improve decision making.
