- 3+ years of core marketing experience (e.g. execution of new product launches, providing creative direction, building brand campaigns) ideally in CPG with traditional retail distribution

- Ability to influence management, lead cross functional teams and handle simultaneous projects
- Passion and enthusiasm for a consumer-first mindset, culture, innovation, and trends
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
What the job involves
- The Honest Company is seeking a dynamic Brand Manager to join our team
- This temporary position is estimated to be needed through December 2025
- As a Brand Manager on the Baby Operating Unit, you will partner with cross-functional teams across sales, creative and product development to bring brand innovation and campaigns to life
- This role encompasses product, pricing, packaging, and promotions with oversight of the P&L to deliver our financial goals and targets

- Provide broad support to the Baby team in a temporary capacity, assisting across day-to-day tasks, special projects, and cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth execution and team efficiency
- Run weekly POS (Point of Sale) reports and synthesize key metrics into a comprehensive tracker, providing actionable insights across all product categories
- Support the management of the PDP (Primary Display Panel) process by coordinating timelines, gathering product content and assets, and ensuring accurate and timely updates across retailer platforms
- Manage and maintain the departmental budget by tracking actuals against planned spend, ensuring accuracy in reporting, flagging variances, and supporting monthly forecasting and reconciliation processes to meet financial goals
- Identify cost improvements, portfolio mix optimization and SKU rationalization to improve gross margins based on category insights and partnership with sales, supply, demand, and sourcing
- Review and approve creative artwork to ensure brand consistency, accuracy, and alignment with strategic objectives across various mediums
- Own the preparation and facilitation of gate meetings by gathering cross-functional input, consolidating materials into clear and concise pre-reads, and ensuring alignment across teams to drive informed decision-making
- Commercialize all product improvements, innovation, and updates by partnering with cross functional teams
- Partner with the sales team to support category and new item sell-in (e.g. sell decks, forecasts, key dates, product samples and support plans)

Honest sells clean, sustainable, well-designed products with a focus on health, wellness and the mother and baby market. Driven by a responsibility to people and the planet - and responding to consumer calls for sustainability - the company champions diverse, inclusive and ethical practices such as label transparency and 100% recycled packaging.
Although the company has seen successes, and went public in 2021, it also experienced a slew of class action lawsuits over potentially harmful ingredients, in strange and stark contrast to the safe products it intended to sell. Many of its offerings have since been reformulated, and the company itself has restructured its strategy, seeming to put it back on good footing despite the rocky road at its back.
