Role
Who you are
- You’ll have solid professional experience as a software engineer yourself, preferably in Cloud-based SAAS products. Ideally you’ll have at least 5 years of experience here, but we focus on skill and ability, not tenure
- Architecture design. Experience of microservices, event-driven scalable architecture, and vertical slices
- Object oriented and functional design, coding and testing patterns
- Coding. At least two languages. C# .NET is currently our core language and experience of that is preferred but not essential
- Front-end frameworks. Ideally Angular, Blazor, React and/or Typescript
- Databases. Experience of SQL, NoSQL and enterprise scale data stores. We use SQL Server and Cosmos, but others like Aurora, Postgres, MongoDB and Cassandra are acceptable
- Software tooling. GIT, CI/CD, deployment tools like Octopus, infrastructure as code, Feature Flags, and other DevOps practices
- Cloud. We are Azure hosted and experience of this is a strong preference. However other Cloud platforms like AWS/GCP are acceptable
- Docker and/or Kubernetes containerisation
- Big Data processing. We process enterprise scale volumes of data having experience of ways of working with these for example parallel processing, BI systems, Data lakes
- Experience of driving technical strategy and approaches across multiple technical teams
- Proven experience and ownership of platform-level design, architecture, implementation and troubleshooting skills
- Experience of evolving systems, designing, and building using loosely coupled services (specific experience of transitioning from a distributed monolith type architecture to microservice would be beneficial)
- Having led at least 2 complex software engineering projects as either the Tech Lead or engineering manager prior, particularly in the SaaS/Cloud Engineering Space

- Own the technical delivery of solutions. You will drive the Enable Engineering group to maintain and evolve standards and best practices around design, coding, and technical quality
- Ensure that your teams build high-performance, fault-tolerant, secure, and scalable cloud platform solutions that support multiple product and solution use cases
- Own the relationships with other technology teams to ensure we design and implement robust products, services and capabilities for the platform
- Help drive technical strategy, working with our lead product and data engineers worldwide to build and maintain world class scalable and highly available cloud-based SaaS platforms
- Champion the use of patterns, common ways of working, and standardised guidelines to ensure consistency across the organisation
- Drive a close working relationship with the DevOps team to build applications which can be deployed quickly and on demand using Infrastructure as Code and automation
- Encourage tight collaboration with the Product Management team to ensure we are delivering high value products, which are on point with the market and our customers for both current and future needs
- Work in a highly agile environment, driving Agile best practice across the whole technical group – guiding teams through change and course corrections to ensure maximum efficiency in delivery
- Work closely with the QA team to drive velocity through automated testing – with a strong TDD driven approach to solution design

Rebates – payments from seller to buyer after the buyer has purchased specified goods – are an essential part of operations in a range of industries, acting as both an incentive to drive sales and a way to foster loyalty between trading partners. However, the archaic systems and timely practices surrounding the management of these rebates have the potential to negate the intended benefits. Enable delivers a rebate management platform that drives trusted relationships between B2B trading partners by simplifying processes and minimising disputes.
Enable was founded in 2016 in response to supply chain problems caused by broken trust, lost agreements, and siloed data surrounding rebates. Its platform automates processes to increase efficiency, accelerates rebate claims, manages pricing calculations and, importantly, reduces disputes by keeping accurate audit trails. The company stands out by focusing not only on simplifying rebate processes, but also by converting rebates into an “engine for growth”.
Enable has raised considerable funding and support, serving many customers, demonstrating the utility of its product. Investment is cited to increase headcount and accelerate its growth into new global markets.
