Who you are
- To thrive as a Financial Analyst at Docebo, you should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- You must be comfortable working with large data sets and have the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
- Effective communication skills are essential, as you’ll need to collaborate with different departments and present financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are also key
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is an asset
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools such as Excel; experience with financial software like SAP or Oracle is a plus
- Strong understanding of IFRS and other relevant financial regulations
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be working toward a CPA designation
What the job involves
- The Financial Analyst (12 Month Contract) at Docebo plays a crucial role in supporting the company’s financial accounting activities
- This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of revenue in our financial statements
- The analyst will collaborate closely with the finance team and key stakeholders across the company to analyze, document and record significant revenue contracts
- Their work is essential to maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Review and interpret contracts: Analyze agreements with customers and apply revenue recognition principles to ensure compliance with IFRS 15 accounting standards
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation to support revenue recognition decisions, ensuring audit trails are clear and well-supported
- Analyze financial data: Collect, monitor, and study financial data to provide insights into revenue trends and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions
- Collaborate with departments: Work closely with various departments such as legal, sales, and deals desk teams to identify significant revenue-impacting terms of customer contracts
- Ensure compliance: Maintain compliance with financial regulations and standards, ensuring all financial practices align with GAAP and other relevant guidelines
- Assist in audits: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and explanations of financial practices
- Assist implementation efforts: Support the broader Accounting Policy team in implementation initiatives for new IFRS accounting standards or new internal processes
