- A successfully completed qualification in accounting, tax consultancy, or a comparable financial certification

- At least 3 years experience in accounting
- Strong command of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Fluency in English and German
- Experience from working with MS Dynamics, Business Central, Navision or Exflow is considered and advantage
What the job involves
- We’re searching for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Berlin
- In this key role, you’ll take ownership of accounts payable, payment transactions, and related financial operations, while also playing a crucial part in month-end closing and reporting
- As Aira continues to scale, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape our financial processes and help build a solid foundation for future growth
- Collaboration is at the heart of this role—you’ll work closely with our team in Germany and our Finance HQ in Stockholm. You’ll also manage external relationships with auditors, ensuring compliance and best practices across the board
- Manage our accounts payable process together with the team
- Oversee payment transactions and dunning procedures while maintaining account reconciliation and ledger management
- Participate in monthly closing
- Collaborate with technical team in Stockholm to improve ways of working
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (HGB/IFRS)
- Support annual financial audits and tax inspections while acting as the direct point of contact for auditors

Our take
Furnaces and air conditioners used in many homes are massive greenhouse emitters, which is a significant problem for our climate. Meet Aira, who are manufacturing and selling energy-efficient and climate-friendly alternatives. It’s not just energy efficiency that is driving the heat pump market; heating cost reductions of up to 40% paired with CO2 emission reductions of up to 75% combine to make air source heat pumps much better value for money.
Aira’s heat pump technology is infused with software that allows it to adapt and regulate to the unique environments in which it’s installed. Affordable payment plans are just another incentive to switch to a cleaner energy source.
Aira’s focus at present is the European market. Its 2024-raised 64 million euros will accelerate the production of Aira pumps in Poland-based plants, whilst focusing its expansion efforts on Germany, Italy and the UK. The substantial capital raise will also help the company develop new products and services for its customers.
