Who you are
- Successful candidates must have a strong work ethic and the desire to not only meet net retention targets but to exceed them
- 2+ years in SaaS B2B Account Management, Sales, or Customer Success in a corporate setting
- Fluent in English
- Able to work in a hybrid model from our Berlin office (if in the Berlin area)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Technologically adept with the ability to discuss web-based technologies
- Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM and sales enablement tools
- Demonstrated ability to develop account strategies and manage client relationships to drive long-term revenue
- Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, presentations) and the ability to engage with all levels of management
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills with an approachable demeanor
- Proven team player with a track record of solving cross-functional problems and making sound decisions
- Understanding of sales cycles, including discovery, objection handling, proposal building, negotiation, procurement, contract review and closing
- Proven success in meeting sales/retention targets for enterprise software solutions
- Willing to travel (10%+) for client meetings, reviews, and on-site efforts to drive platform adoption
What the job involves
- Conductor is looking for an Account Manager (w/m/d) Level II to own the relationship between Conductor and our enterprise customers’ key stakeholders
- In this role, you will be responsible for renewing and growing Conductor’s existing enterprise customers
- This role works in partnership with Customer Success, Professional Services, Sales, Marketing, and Pre-Sales
- The candidate will be a high impact individual capable of working cross-functionally to continuously drive improvements to customers’ success metrics, grow revenue from assigned accounts, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and facilitate knowledge exchange between customers and Conductor team members
- As the primary business owner for assigned accounts, you'll develop and execute a clear strategy to drive net retention and foster growth
- Working closely with the Customer Success Manager, you'll ensure executive engagement and mitigate churn risks throughout the customer lifecycle
- Collaborate with clients to understand and address their business needs, fostering account growth and success
- Identify and engage executive sponsors, ensuring alignment between customer objectives and Conductor’s solutions, and develop long-term strategies to achieve desired outcomes
- Advocate for clients internally, collaborating across teams (Customer Success, Support, Professional Services, Engineering) to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Convert challenges into growth opportunities by assisting clients with obstacles when applicable
- Effectively communicate Conductor’s value proposition to various audiences, including C-level executives
- Lead contract renewals and expansion discussions, and manage opportunity forecasting within CRM
- Stay knowledgeable about Conductor’s product capabilities and internal processes
- Prepare and deliver business reviews, proposals, demos, investment summaries, and contracts, completing quarterly Account Reviews with key contacts and stakeholders
- Monitor platform adoption and usage trends for assigned customers
- Contribute as a collaborative team member, sharing insights and continuously learning

The internet is increasingly becoming a walled garden, with content and vital market intelligence hidden away on social media sites, gaming environments and apps. And with increasing regulaion in the data protection space such as GDPR, it can be harder for marketing teams to gain insight into what potential customers exist, and what they want.
Conductor exists to change that. Taking advantage of the power of search ("No one ever lies to a search engine", in the words of the company's CEO and co-founder), it utilises data from search traffic to help marketing teams build more effective campaigns. Able to help optimize search results, track keyword rankings and measure performance, it has led to doubling the rate of conversions and site traffic among its customer base, which includes the likes of Citibank, athenahealth and Canon.
With a record of substantial funding and growing revenue from its customer base, Conductor is continuing to invest in its technology, making strategic acquisitions to help it expand. For instance its acquisition of ContentKing allowed it to add real-time website auditing and monitoring to its platform, and its 2023 acquisition of Searchmetrics is aimed at accelerating its growth in Europe. As the SEO space enters a period of consolodation it seems that Conductor is well positioned to remain at the top of the search results.
